So we pay for the software for years every month and there have not been a single meaningful update for 3 years +.
The moment adobe bought substance is the moment I stopped seeing any updates to the substance painter.
there are some stuff nobody uses but I'm saying
NEW TOOLS
NEW MASKS
NEW PROCEDURALS
NEW ALPHAS
nothing.

Unless of course you count colour management, geometry masks, revised shaders, warp projection...... etc 🙂

You can make a request for additional tools , functions etc, by raising them here as an idea , where others can vote on them. Adobe staff do read them.

Yea I will develop and write a specific tool. Maby I should even write the code for it, It's not like I pay for this software for years when nothing meaningful to me improves.

Meanwhile, opensource software like a blender which is free in past 3 years got faster and better and many of its tools got overhauled like particle system.
While the adobe team (profanity removed by moderator) to "hey we added hdri to linux pc and fixed some ui that was fine for years" I don't care. BTW this is a scammy thing to point to since it is increasing the reach and profits by making it better for other operating systems. It is meant to increase profits not make it better for windows.

Why is it so hard? Just point to a single meaningful thing for gamedev. why we are stuck with laggy and broken brushes.

"geometry masks" never needed that
"revised shaders" that's just a word salad
"warp projection" ye one thing that's hard to find a use for. Wanna make a face? just use reallusion.

or let's talk about adobe bottle necking my download speed to 300kb/s

Please keep your tone civil in this forum. Accusing some-one of gaslighting achieves nothing, is unlikely to help your cause, and it breaks the forum rules

You mention the price doubling? I used to pay Allegorithmic £19 /month (UK) for the equivalent of the texturing package. That same package is now £15.97 per month.

If you want to raise a bug - please do so and include a log/crash report. If it is with Sampler then there is a specific forum here for that application: https://community.adobe.com/t5/substance-3d-sampler/ct-p/ct-substance-3d-sampler

Similarly for 3D assets : https://community.adobe.com/t5/substance-3d-assets-and-community-assets/ct-p/ct-substance-3d-assets-and-community-assets

If you want to explain what you, as a Game Developer, want to see in Substance then please do so, as invited by Cyril above.
