Highlights of Version 2.0:

  • Refactored architecture – improved plugin structure for enhanced performance and integration
  • Future expansion support – the update lays the groundwork for easily adding new features in the future
  • Broader compatibility – fully compatible with Blender versions 3.0 and above, including support for Mac users

Key Improvements since the last beta update:

  • We’ve fixed the issue where duplicating materials multiple times caused an error.

Hello,

I installed the plug-in but, I am trying to import FBX files from Rhino to Blender 3.6 & 4.0 and, the textures don't show properly (I did that with multiple files). I have attached some screenshots. I tried to download the SBSAR files of the same textures into Blender and I ended up with the same result. I have also added a screenshoot with the SBSAR panel open for you to see what's wrong.

I look forward to your solution.

Thank you!

Hi @Oualid236692084p5s thank you for sharing those screenshots. Judging from the console log it looks like the loading process is successful. If possible, could you please share the .sbsar file you are using? And a screenshot of the shader editor network for the mesh once the material is applied? That way we can see if everything is hooked up correctly.

Hi Aldo, here is a screenshot of the shader editor network.  The sbsar file exceeds the maximum file size though.  Can you provide me with an email so I can send it to you by we transfer?

Thank you,

Hi @coolermint344509411jn4, could you let us know what console errors you are seeing? That will tell us specifically where the point of failure is. A screenshot would of that would suffice.

On Windows this can be done by opening Window > Show console log.
On Mac you'll have to open Blender via Terminal app. When the terminal is open, use the following command to open Blender:
/Applications/Blender[YOUR_VERSION].app/Contents/MacOS/blender

That being said, a usual fix for this kind of issue is to remove the Substance3DIntegrationTools folder. See more info on the file locations here: https://helpx.adobe.com/substance-3d-integrations/3d-applications/blender/uninstalling-the-add-on.ht...

error while updating, error while removing, the sbrs file could not be load, when trying manually it says cannot delete as the ffile is used in another program while everything else is off. this is very strange as it happened overnight

Hi @coolermint344509411jn4 , did you try the manual fix from the link above? If that did not work, check if the Substance Remote Engine process is running while Blender is closed. And if so, terminate the process and restart Blender.
