Not launching app after updating to 4.2.2

After updating to the latest version 4.2.2 nothing happens when I try and launch Sampler.  Running Windows 10 and the latest Nvidia Studio driver V546.01.  So far have tried the following to troubleshoot...

- Restarted PC

- See if Sampler is running in the task manager.... it is not.

- Deleted the folder AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Substance 3D Sampler

- Uninstalled using CC Desktop app

- Reinstalled

- Tried launching from CC Desktop app as well as directly from the .exe

All I get is nothing for a few seconds, followed by the cursor briefly changing to the wait cursor (blue circle). No loading screen... nothing.

Please help.

did you try to install another version of 3D Sampler from CCD app?
Does Sampler Launch with another version?

Yes it works when insatalling previous versions... however 4.2.1 did not output normal maps correctly when selecting OpenGL in preferences... therefore I have to go back to 4.1.2.

This is getting VERY frustrating!

After the change for a previous version, did you try to re-install the 4.2.2?

Apologies for the delayed reply.  Yes I did try that and still no luck.

I also updated the Nvidia driver as a new one was released... now running Nvidia Studio Driver 546.33.

Do you have any other suggestions?

As you saw on another thread, this issue seems to affect other users too, so there's a lot of chances this is a bug with 4.2.2 and not an issue related specificaly to your sessions.

Therefore, in order to help us investigate, could you share your hardware specifications? Which GPU, CPU, Laptop, etc.?

In the meantime, I advise you to simply rollback to 4.2.1 as you already did. What's the issue you're facing with OpenGL normal maps? Just so you know, we have changed the behavior of Substance 3D Sampler regarding OpenGL, and it doesn't switch the map in the 2D viewport, but at the export.

- Desktop PC (Windows 10 Version 22H2)

- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz

- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super

We found the issue for Sampler 4.2.2 not launching and are fixing it for the upcoming release.
