i really miss the variation generator, make material variation from a single picture.

Or there is somewhere in sampler? 🙂

Hello,

The color extraction from an image has not been migrated to Sampler.

You can still use the filter "Color Variation" and pick the number of colors and the colors you want. 

 

If you're using substance3d.com licenses, you can download previous versions of Sampler/Alchemist.

Go to substance3d.com > My Licenses > Licenses > Substance Alchemist > All builds > 2020.3.2

 

If you're using adobe.com licenses, launch Creative Cloud Desktop, on Substance 3D Sampler:

click on the 3 dots "..." > Other versions > Substance 3D Sampler (2.3.2) Install

Then you can just pick the colors and add them in your swatches in 3D Sampler!
