Make a color transparent

Hello,

In my project, I'm using a PNG with two colors and an alpha. Is there any way to turn one of the color to an alpha? I've tried several things but if the color becomes transparent, the embroedery properties are not used in the render.

Of course it is possible to duplicate and use a PNG where the color is transparent but that would be nice to be able to use two modes : one where the color is opaque, one where the color in transparent, a non destructive way. Is there any possibility to do that?

Hi,
You'll have to make a mask as png or jpg and fill it in the blending mode or opacity/transparency channel.

Regards!

Hello,

Yup, no problem. I was following the tutorial about embroidery. I have a transparent + black + white color PNG. And I was wondering if there is a way to turn the white or the black as transparent to and if it is possible to invert the color. I can do other PNGs, of course, but it would be handy to have some kind of switch that can turn off color or invert them.

Hello,

I tried but if there's not problem to make opaque a transparency, or to change colors, to turn one color transparent when there are two colors doesn't work properly. It turn grey without real texture. Maybe I've made a mistake or missed something but it doesn't seem to offer other options than "base color" or "transparency", to do the switch, where there is a need for "color channel one", "color channel two".

Channel switch allows a better blending between the "pattern" and the "base" but I can't find a way to turn one color transparent.

Such a situation happens in Photoshop. It that case we I use Blending filters. May be that can be useful.

Since I'm not using Photoshop... that could be tricky. Never mind. I guess the remaining solution is to create different PNGs.
