Am I blind ? Is there no way to spin an object in Stager ?

I took a cylinder and slimmed it down. ( cylinder object that is inside Stager )

I then tried to get it to spin like a coin spinning on a table ( imagine a coin standing up and spinning )

there seems NO way to do this at this time ( Stager 2.0 )  Let's hope this ability will be added soon.

I've tried doing this now for a good 30 minutes and can't figure out how to do it, so I'm guessing it is not possible at this point.

Hi @Animation Guy !  Yes, you can absolutely spin objects in Stager!

The current limitation is that both spin and orbit are limited to Y-Up axis.  The work around is to rotate your cylinder the way you want it to be, then put it into a group.  Here's a quick GIF showing the setup.

  • Add your object and use the transform tool to move it "up" orientation as you'd like
  • Put the object in a new group "Cmd/Ctrl + G"
  • Select the group object
  • In the properties panel > Animation tab > add the "Spin" ani
