Adding hyperlink/hotspots to video

Hi Everyone!

Please forgive if this is not the right forum to post in for this question... We have a client requesting a "learn more" button be applied to her video. When viewers click on the button they are routed to the client's website. Anyone have experience doing this? What is the best way?

Video in itself, for now, is not 'interactive'.
To do what you want, you need some sort of overlay on top of the video to be clickable.
That overlay used to be done via Flash. I would't do that anymore with Flash/SWF support being dropped.

So now the way to do that is with HTML overlay. Pretty sure that's how YouTube does it.

Camtasia can likely do it with HTML output, just be sure not to use the SWF output.

Adobe Edge, similarly, can definitely be used to output with such HTML layover.

(as others have mentioned, just illustrating more the underlying requirements/solutions)

If you're posting it to YouTube, add a end card. You'll add the interactivity through YouTube Studio. Here's more info: Add cards to videos - Computer - YouTube Help

If you want to distribute the video other ways, you could use Animate CC to add the interactivity.
