The genre is slowly becoming widly popular with hit movies like Sing, Zootopia, Robin Hood, Cats, and lately Turning Red... Also tv series like Beaststars,BNA, upcoming zootopia+. Upcoming movies like The Bad Guys based on a book a I've seen gives me more hope for zthe genre and I hope the universe keeps expanding. What are the best features featuring anthropomorphic characters?

Bad guys finally I went and saw 4.5/5 stars great movie. The animation was fresh the characters were devolped and the story was full of fun twist and tuerns. I'm not gonna spoil but I'm gonna reccomend.

Anthropomorphic characters in animation have always been popular: starting with Feline Follies starring Felix the cat Mickey Mouse in 1919, and later Mickey Mouse and assorted Disney characters in 1928.

So nothing new under the sun.

I am still hoping for a high quality scifi series that stars anthropomorphic characters. (But please nothing like Starfox... )

I'm hoping that too. Beaststars never met it's full pottential, and maybe a startfox series isn't a horrible idea. Fantastic Mr. Fox animated film may have made some cirnge but is honourable in my book and it's a style of movie I want to see more of. Not clay and puppets btw. Who's your fav anthro character?
