As a creative, designer and streamer... caffeine has always been my best friend.
If I want to zone out and just create, I would grab a White Chocolate Mocha Latte or RedBull. But the sugar levels in those are really high.
Since I have strong ties to the games industry, I was familiar with gamer drinks. Many of these have been designed with zero to low sugar. So, I began doing research on them... pro-gamers and streamers use them for extra energy and focus. After researching various brands and the ingredients that go into many of these beverages... I have come to the conclusion that they are a good alternative (ok my wife would probably disagree, but I did the research).
Because I live in Germany, companies that produce food and beverages have to be very transparent in what they produce.... so I found a couple of companies that produce products in Europe that are really transparent. Which is also good.
Anyways, I created a video using Adobe Premiere Rush and a little Photoshop magic to talk about one brand and the various ingredients found in these drinks. I think it was best to inform people about the ingredients so that way they could make their own decisions.
Here is the video...

Oh also I learned how to create chapters on YouTube. Which is a really cool thing and super easy to do. I can explain how I did that if anyone is interested.

I still drink my morning cup of Nespresso but I no longer drink a pot of coffee as I once did. I steer away from artificial sweeteners because they trick your body into producing insulin even when you don't need it which can set you up for insulin resistance later.
I'm a big ice tea person. Been drinking it most of my life. But it has to be strong. 12 ordinary sized tea bags to 1 liter (about 33 oz) of H2O. And lots of ice.
To mix things up flavorwise, I combine black pekoe tea with flowers or spices. When I crave a little sweetness, I add lemon, agave or a small amount of fruit juice (any flavor you like).
ADDITIONS: Whole cloves and orange. Ginseng & green tea. Jamaican hibiscus flowers and mango. Golf legend Arnold Palmer added equal parts lemonade to iced tea. I use about 3 parts tea to 1 part lemonade otherwise it's too sweet for me.
Tea is very flexible and a lot less costly than so-called energy drinks that can cause you to jolt & crash after an hour. Give it a try, you might be surprised.
