PayPal Sued for Freezing Customer Accounts without Explanation

    I've had my account for years, and never gotten any trouble from them, but I am a buyer. Yet if I'm to beleive artists who use it to make a living on commissions, accounts and funds are frozen without clear warning or any chance to appeal.

    There have been horror stories about PayPal practices for years.  I'm surprised nobody took action sooner.  We'll see what if anything develops.

     

    PayPal's transaction fees are higher than my other payment processor's.  But I make it an option because customers like it.  And we rarely keep more than a couple hundred bucks in PayPal.

    My wife sells online, and 2+ years ago she had a horrible experience with paypal

     

    She sold an item... and had the ordering email from the buyer and the tracking number that showed delivery to the buyer's 'verified' paypal address

     

    After receiving the item the buyer told paypal he had never ordered the item

     

    In spite of her PROOF of the order and delivery, paypal refunded the buyer... taking the $ out of her account

     

    She cancelled her paypal account and signed up with a credit card processing company

     

    In our house paypal is a dirty word
