Well, wether we like it or not, and even though there have been no changes since its purchase, FW is now part of the CC, and as such, it needs valid code to be launched. Anyway, do you still have an original CD-Rom, and a CD player ? have you tried to install it from this support, for our part with virtual machines as https://www.oracle.com/fr/virtualization/virtualbox/... (some folks mention Parrallels under MacOS https://www.parallels.com/fr/)  but we haven't tried this last one here at the studio... only Virtual Box...  anyway, FW runs quite well under VM here... directly from CS6 CD... and to tell the truth, I don't remember if a CC validation was requested   ... in fact, as soon as there are a lot of files, blue line or not blue line, there is no indicator of the global time left... nor of the number of files that have been processed, nor how many are left... moreover after a certain number of files transferred the integrated log window does not refresh anymore... in an other hand, filezilla causing more and more problems on some types of transfer, and volume (i.e.. just to check, take a slow connection, unzip a WP archive and transfer it... (I know it's preferable zipped, but it's just to demonstrate the shortcomings of filezilla)... so transfer)... you'll have at least fifteen files that will be left stranded... and paradoxically, you won't be able to transfer them again... and worse, you won't be able to delete them...   so... for slow connections I would recommend (without any hesitation) to use the file manager integrated to Plesk or CPanel, depending on your host ... like Nancy you must have a super fast connection, because here the DW FTP client use and feel has remained the same since Macromedia... except for the connection mode, it has not evolved in ergonomics, in usability and in stability... requests for improvement over the years have always been ignored... : Impossibility to open multiple sessions at the same time impossibility to switch to a different site project during a transfer no action possible on the queue order no information about the global time still needed no synchronization of navigation between folders no management of the recovery of files that triggered a transfer error ... and it's not now that DW is in minimal maintenance, that there is a chance that the FTP client will evolve, one way or the other... if you don't have time to see a transfer bar... see it as luck... please, enjoy it 😉 ...
