Yes, I can't add captions to markers - but I can add markers to the timeline, exactly where the captions are - one by one - so that later, after I record the voice overs, I can "automate"the clips to the markers, instead of me dragging them one by one.  im thankful for the atuomate function, however, I wish I could add multiple markers to the timeline all at the same time, to where the captions are. Since the automate function already exists (it automatically adds clips to where the markers are) - i think it also makes sense to add markers to where the captions are - or better yet - automate to where the captions are instead of markers. ... I have not tried that, but the reason that I transcribe is because i want to use the "Delete Pause" feature, so reimporting would defeat my purpose. I love that feature, but then, after deleting the pauses, Premiere suddenly becomes slow to respond to my clicks. especially when I drag a clip. I tried closing all my browser tabs and other apps, but it persists. What helped was when I cut and pasted the clips into another sequence. The slow responses improved quite a bit, but it's still there. I can feel it.  I assumed that, RIGHT NOW, it might be too taxing for premiere to have text-based editing enabled, while I actively move the clips around. Because then, the text will have to constantly adjust parameters. I wonder if my assumption is accurate. ... View more

So that you can sort all the "zero usage" clips to the top, and delete those without worrying too much. Because right now, you can only sort either video usage, or audio usage only. YOu have to manually weed out those that have zero usage.  ... View more

Hi Kevin. Just tried, and unfortunately, "Minimum Pause Length" is a threshold for how pause should be defined. Just like "Define Silence" in Audition. I was looking for a way to retain a little bit of rest after all the pauses are deleted, so that the voice over would still sound like a natural breathing speaker. Layering voice over on videos is one of the major uses of Premiere, right? Automate to Sequence would have been more useful if the new assets would just stack under all the existing audio clips! - just like how Titles and captions do it. They get in on the work area without disturbing existing clips. Right now, it is a fiddly process of either locking the track that you don't want to disturb, or selecting where it should go.
