Sorry to hear about your experience. Are you using Trend Micro antivirus? If yes, an exception needs to be added for the Adobe InDesign for it to allow the app. We are getting some launch issues related to that and working on them.
If you do not have Trend Micro, you may try using Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove the existing Adobe installation and reinstall the app. You may also try creating a new user account on your machine and see if apps are working there.
