Sounds right - embedding the fonts generally avoids these sorts of errors. Because we inherit PDFs from all over, created by many techniques & utilities, this sort of issue shows up frequently (IMHO). Also, there are too many fonts that are not official/authentic sets out there floating around, and embedding one of them can also create problems for users on another machine. Dave

I would check to see if you are logged in to your Adobe account in Reader/Acrobat. If you are not, log in and hopefully access to your CC account will enable the capabilities you need. Dave

If you are using Windows, right-click on a PDF file and choose Open With, and search for Acrobat Pro DC, and also tick the Always use this app. This should change the default program for PDFs to Acrobat. A Mac user can chime in on how to do this on that OS. My best, Dave

It's a pretty deep well to jump into without guidance, but that said, you should explore the Tags panel, and the Reading Order panel. There are tools there that allow one to add tags, reformat, edit Alt text, etc. You should find what you're looking for there. Good luck! Dave

I'm guessing that this issue is one of your operating system, not Acrobat itself. Are you saving to a network location (which may have a lengthy path involved? The more you can tell us, the better chance we have of figuring it out. My best, Dave

Give this a try: In the Organize Pages interface, type in a page range, like '1-8', and then hit enter. This should select the defined range of pages for you. Perhaps this could be a working solution for you. My best, Dave

If you are the creator (or work with) of the PDF, you may be able to enable font embedding in the PDF creation process, which (in theory) should eliminate this error. Still, it should not prohibit Acrobat from running/opening the file. Have you tested the PDF on other machines? Can you share the file so others can see how it behaves on their installations? I believe your best bet is to use the Organize Page feature, and use your ctrl+scroll wheel to zoom in as close as you need to be able to read the contents of any page. My best, Dave

I just tried this operation in my installation, and have no restriction or difficulty deleting a strike-through comment. Perhaps if you can share the file, we can see if it behaves differently on other machines/installations. Also, try different methods of deleting the comment - either selecting it on the page and hitting delete or from the comments panel. Maybe a repair installation could help if it proves to be the installation on your machine. My best, Dave

Is Acrobat the only application that is shown with the German presentation? It may be your operating system that needs localization. Also, any PDF can have a base language associated with it. Try going to Preferences>Language and ensure your prefs are set to English: Not sure about the wording in German, but above is the way the prefs look in an English installation. Good luck, Dave

One possible alternate way to achieve what you want may be to create a bookmark for each point/place on the map that you want one to be able to find. A bookmark remembers a place and magnification. So if you have a map of the US, you could zoom in on Montana, and create a bookmark called Montana. If one clicks on that bookmark, it would take them to that memorized zoom of that portion of the map. This may not be a viable solution for you, but perhaps it could make a tough situation a little easier. My best, Dave
