If the information given above does not resolve your issue, then I suggest that you start a new thread. Please, ensure that ully describe 'your' issue and provide details of the operating system and LrC version that you're using.

I may be misunderstaning the reason for you creating/exporting/importing multiple versions of each image, but would it not be easier to just use Virtual Copies?

The iStat Menus screenshot that you posted above shows that the primary SSD is 88% full, and that your memory pressure is 61%. Each of these on their own is an indication that your system is running out of resources. Can you share a screenshot of the Activity Monitor memory tab so that we can see how bad things actually are? When capturing the screenshot make sure that LrC has been running for a while and is in the Develop module. Ideally, well into or at the end of an editing session rather than the beginning. I've attached a screenshot as an example of what needs to be included.

The driver appears to be recent. However, the VRAM reported in below line from your System Info is well short of the minium 2GB specified for AI features in LrC, LrD and ACR. System Info is indicating that you're using 100% of the available memory. Dedicated GPU memory used by Lightroom: 499.9MB / 495.7MB (100%) Above along with below line from System Info suggests that your graphics card only supports the display by default. However, you've manually configured the LrC performance preference to also handle image processing and export. In other words words, your graphics card/processor isn't powerful enough to handle the AI features, which includes Relection Removal without forcing it via the performance preference. Init State: GPU for Display supported by default with image processing and export supported in the custom mode

Looking at the first screenshot, I suspect the issue is related to the GPU drivers. Please, post a copy of your System Info. You can obtain same from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. You can use the Copy button located at top right corner of the dialog to capture the info, then paste into a reply.

I forgot to mention that the MacBooK Air by itself does not officially support HDR mode. Therefore, your external display would need to be HDR compatible otherwise enabling it for previews is a waste of your already limited resources.

Your issue is not Lightroom Classic or Desktop. It's physics! You're using MacBook Air M1. This computer operates without fan assistance. Therefore, it's subject to thermal throttling on tasks such as import, export, preview building and batch operations that take much longer than a few minutes. Additionally, your System Info idicates that you also have a second display connected, and that you have the Library module previews configured for HDR. Both of these will cause a significant reduction in performance due to the limited memory and GPU resources of your MacBook Air M1.

It's not clear what you mean by 'personal custom Develop and Print setups'. If you're referring to Presets (Develop module) and Templates (Print module), then resetting the preference file will not delete these.

Is there a reason why you've only selected part of the cable in second screenshot? For Generative Remove to work all of the item to be removed, which includes any shadows and reflection, must be selected.

The keyword was the last item in the File Handling tab of Preferences. The heading was 'Keywords'. The same tab and position in 14.4 is occupied by 'Remember the last selection from source during the session'. The heading now being 'File Selection'. The web module in LrC, and the galleries created therein are not related to the web gallery feature in Lr Web. The web galleries in Lr Web are sorted by Capture Date. Unfortuanely, the sort order cannot be changed.

Typically, this happens, when the Remove tool is used after applying a mask. You'll need to use the 'Update Ai Settings' command, which can be found under the Develop modules Settings menu to fix the issue.

@Lukas26172756td8t Finding which images that have enhanced processing is relatively easy. Adobe added new filters and smart collections for each of the three enhanced options. I've attached 2 screenshots that should help you find how to use these.

I suspect your issue is the same as the OP. Your GPU has a maximum of 1.5GB whereas the minimum requirement is 2GB.

I took the liberty of downloading your screenshot, used Distraction Removal > People, and got attached result. You'll see that the people are all identified and ready for removal. So, it would seem that the issue may be specific to your system (e.g. GPU drivers). Can you post a copy of your System Info file. You can obtain this from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. Use the Copy button at top right corner of the System Info dialog to capture the info. You can then paste into a reply post.

Do you have 'Automatically write changes into XMP' enabled? If so, try disabling same. You'll find it in the Catalog Settings Metatdata tab.
