Acrobat and Acrobat Reader are a lot more sensitive to proper file structure than other pdf readers. Third party readers don't neccesarily adhere to proper pdf specifications. So technically, the pdf isn't "corrupt" but still may not be viewable in Reader.

It could be that they used a third party PDF tool (like Mac Preview) to fil it out which can corrupt the file.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Acrobat Premium". Can you tell us exactly what you have? This is the forum for the free Acrobat Reader. If you have that, it cannot organize pages. If you have the full version of Acrobat, we can move this to the proper forum for you.

Instead of worrying about your caps or punctuation, why don't you tell us a little more about your problem.
To start, what exact version of Adobe Reader are you using? How are you trying to open the pdf files (from a browser, an email attachment...etc) and if a web browser is involved, which one? Also, what exactly is happening when you try to open the pdf (Error, nothing...etc)?

That depends on what you mean by "bookmark". You can't add "Bookmarks" which are essentially shortcuts to different parts of the pdf file but you can "mark your place" where you left off (which is what some may consider a "bookmark") by going to Edit>Preferences>Documents>Open settings and selecting "Restore last view settings when reopening documents".

I'll back what bucksommerkamp mentions about zipping the file. Some email providers will compress PDF files and when they get to the other end, they can become corrupted. If you'd rather not Zip the file, find a file sharing service (like Google Drive) where you can upload the file and just send a link to download to your recipients.

Acrobat Reader is used to open the scans after you create them but isn't used to actually scan the pages. You "may" be able to add some sort of watermark with the scanning software you use so I'd check into that first. If that doesn't pan out, you can always purchase the full version of Acrobat. With that you may either be able to add a header/footer to all pages at once or apply a watermark to all pages. The free Reader doesn't have many, if any, options for that.

The original poster is using the free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader which cannot create pdf files so it is no doubt something to do with the settings in the Excel pdf generator. If you (referring to Colby.k) are using the full paid-for version of Acrobat, you will want to take this up in the Acrobat forum where you will find more help. As for Builderbob, from the info you've given, I can't tell if you have Reader or Acrobat.

Can't be done using Reader. Would probably even be tough in Acrobat. Best to get the PPT file, change the preferences there then recreate the pdf from that.

There is no virus. Windows Defender needs to update their definitions. This happens once in a while with many applications.

We're going to need more info to help. Is the "attachment" a PDF? What type of "tablet" do you have? What version of Reader do you have installed? How are you trying to open the file and what exactly happens when you try?

That's because Reader will only rotate the view. You cannot save that. To save it you need Acrobat.
