Have you checked the enlarged jpgs to see if they actually are resized as you expected? You can check in metadata. Why do you have to export the images? You could crop virtual copies in Lightroom. What version Lightroom are you using? ... View more

Just a hunch - slow graphic response waiting for the image info tooltips to  pop up, thereby delaying things, meanwhile your mouse has moved, so mouse motion appears erratic. This Photoshop: Red Eye Fix for Difficult Cases in People and Pets looks like a good tutorial for fixing pet-eye in Photoshop.  It appears you could use the same basic instructions to do it in Lightroom. I am wondering if you're having some confusion about RAW, edited, and exported file.  If you edit a RAW file, unless you do something, your catalog will maintain those edits. The RAW file "appears" to be edited, but really, it is untouched and Lightroom shows it to you with the edites applied.  So if I am reading you right, you would want to create a new export from your same edited RAW in a different size. Upsizing edited jpg files would likely produce unsatisfactory results - you always lose quality upsizing. It might also be that you are unnecessarily creating many catalogs for many jobs, when one would suffice. I would put my exported files into a separate directory/folder structure to keep things tidy and separate your RAW/Lightroom images from your exported images. Jim's point is good. Lightroom should give you all the control of PSP and additionally gives you sharpening options. Your demands are small!  The sky's the limit. I've read of 500k, even a million images or more. Regular backups are obviously key. Drive should be fast, but I don't think it has to be lightning for smooth operation. Easy enough to dupe the catalog and compare. It sounds like a Photoshop setting is defaulted wrong. Here's a pretty quick thing to check, from Photoshop picks only black or white - Photoshop 911 : "It sounds like Photoshop is in grayscale mode. Check your Colour preferences (Edit > Color Settings) and make sure all the Color Management Policies are "off". Open a new file (File > New), and set the mode to RGB or CMYK Color. Click on OK. Santiago, the first thing I would try would be to copy some images from your reader/card into a folder on your desktop. If the images appear correctly in this scenario, you have a temporary workaround, and a bit more knowledge narrowing down the source of the problem.  And if this scenario works, you might try copying these files back to a spare card and try reimporting from that. Nick, First, Jim Hess made the point that a drive wants to see 20% empty space and that knocked some sense into me. I'm not sure I'd go with 20% in all cases, but I was far too blase leaving any impression you might get by with only one gig.  Until you deal with that, there's a high likelihood of conflating headroom issues with other problems. umon, I did a quick test on my X-E2 - it appears that I get 3 jpgs that are all built upon one exposure that has been given three different ISO "treatments"!  I do not get the RAW, but that might be a camera setting. I suspect the issue is related to this  https://fujilove.com/isoless-photography-with-the-fujifilm-x-series/​ (author Pfirstinger is a Fuji-daddy of sorts) but can't confirm your XT2 works exactly the same. I have a sneaky suspicion that your three RAWs are really one RAW, but take this all with a grain. When you shoot this way, do you notice separate actuations/exposures? The long and the short is that I suspect our results can be seen as Lightroom handling correctly what it's given by Fuji - but note my iffiness. I still haven't quite quite wrapped my head around ISO-less photography; I think I'll spend some time rereading this and other articles - I have a Pfirstinger/Fuji book around somewhere. I'm interested in whether this part of your image might have been on an edge which i assume could be subject to more artifacts due to overlay. I would look at a workflow like this: First highlight a number of images in LR. Testing might tell how many you can do at one time. Right click / Edit in / Open as smart object in Photoshop. Then save them all. Then go here: Process a batch of Photoshop files Batch process your Photoshop files with your sharpen filter. JLRobert, I'm in Win10, 7.3.1 and tried to replicate using your png and couldn't. Perplexing. Have you attempted on a copy before any adjustments?  The fact that clone mode at 100% doesn't completely obscure would seem to be a hint. I presume you get this result with no feathering? If all these yield nothing, it sounds to me like a weird bug; in some way 100% isn't really 100%. You might try disabling GPU in settings/performance and restart, but I can't see why that would change anything. JaovdL's suggestion is the way to go for b&w colorization. I'd add to not be afraid to use different colors and amounts in highlights and shadows. For example a brown (40) in the highlights can be offset by a blue (220) in the shadows.
