If you use Firefox (and everyone should IMHO), there's an add-on for it called Dust-Me Selectors that finds unused CSS selectors in pages and keeps a log to cross check against other site pages. Were it so simple? As Paula said, no extensions for this because it is browser dependant. Safari form buttons and scrollbars will always look like Safari form buttons and scrollbars. IE is the only browser that accepts custom scrollbars. Other browsers ignore them and the CSS code is not valid. So what's a person to do? a) Stop worrying and learn to love browser variation. I think you are missing the concept that Nancy tried to convey. "Built in Dreamweaver" has no real meaning as to the appearance or performance of a Web site. It is the HTML/CSS (and more) that have meaning here. FWIW, in all the sites I've been involved in, not a single one was built 100% in Dreamweaver. I use various tools to create the desired output for browsers. I couldn't have said this any better, Mark. And while I don't use the entire Adobe suite of products, I do use DW, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash authoring apps and a truckload of other wares I have collected over the years. I assume you're are irritated because DW doesn't support ASP.net programming? Don't blame Adobe for this. Blame Microsoft. ASP.net is MS's brainchild and they do whatever they want whenever they want. My understanding is that Adobe could not adequately keep up with all of MS's late breaking developments and keep DW current. So if you develop in PHP, ASP or ColdFusion, use DW. I don't have time to examine all your CSS code to ID the problem. Simplify your CSS code by removing embedded styles from pages. If you wish to make things easier to find in stylesheets, use CSS comments like so. /**this is a css comment**/ On the first page load in IE, thumbnail load is very slow. The path to my thumbnails goes a couple folders off the root. Could that be a problem for IE? No. The problem is filesize. Re-optimize your images in your favorite graphics app. to minimize filesize. Use jpg instead of png. Example, this image is entirely too big at 172.KB. That's a Flash site, you know? You can't build Flash sites in DW. If you're really good with JavaScripts, HTML and CSS, you might be able to cobble something together that resembles the Flash site but it won't be exactly the same. Sorry, I don't know of any extensions that would do exactly that. Not sure if this helps you or not. But I usually access my extensions from little icons near the top of the toolbar or using the Command or Insert menus (near the bottom).
