Better compression methods.  On the web, less bandwidth is a good thing. It helps keep the Internet a faster place for everyone.  When pages don't take forever to load, users have a better experience, particularly on mobile devices.   Many factors can effect filesize including the number of colors, metadata, height x width, and quality settings. This isn't a Dreamweaver issue.  I can't speak to what Outlook does— it's an email client that plays by its own rules.   That said, your code looks OK to me in a browser at normal (100%) Zoom setting. The first one is too cluttered. The viewer's eye is being pulled in all different directions at once by competing elements -- flowers, vases, background, etc... Focus on the main keyword. Make that your subject. Eliminate distractions.   The cherry tomatoes are competing with too many distractions.  I would have used a filter to minimize fruit reflections.
