Off the top of my head an hour of mono audio recorded at 48k would be about 500+mb A minute would be roughly 8mb So are you saying you have a 500+mb file which only plays for 1 minute? If so there are 2 possibilities  You have a minute of recorded data and 59 minutes of nothing OR you have an hour of recorded data but the header of the wav file has been corrupted to say that the end of the audio is only a minute in length If it happens to be the latter then there is a SMALL chance that rewriting the header may give you the rest of the audio You will need to send that to me via WeTransfer or Dropbox, etal then I will see if any sort of magic can be weaved - but no promises ... If you do a multitrack recording and then exit Audition and then play the seperately recorded wav files (say using media player or similar) are they distorted? If they are not distorted then they aren't being recorded with distortion Do you have any fx on any of the tracks or buses? ... View more

Email me the 3 ses files - PM me for the address (just note that it ia 1:45am here) Don't be hard on Adobe  - most version of ses covered by the application actually had nothing to do with Adobe - they actually existed long before Adobe got hold of Cool Edit and turned it into Audition. In fact the app actually covers versions of ses that were literally unknown to Adobe and even Syntrillium (David Johnston I believe actually issued one or two undocumented versions of CEP) Believe it or not Adobe were never in a position to cover all known and unknown variants of the ses format and convert them to the sesx format as well as come up with the resources to develop what was then Audition v5. I'm sure that the fact that my software already existed probably assisted in helping speed up the release of Audition 5 BTW just for some comparison - ProTools can't read its real old versions either but I have software to cover that too 😉 ... Adobe has the best OMF capability (2nd only to the creators - Avid) but OMF has many limitations which is why Avid created AAF (which is also junk). There are so many reasons why an OMF doesn't get created For starters an OMF is limited to 2gb and even if your Audition session may be less than 2gb there are times when the same media file is being used multiple times (don't ask me why) so the more clips you have the larger your OMF may be. So if you are trying to create an encapsulated OMF maybe try a reference one ... View more

There are many reasons why this can happen and as SteveG has mentioned more information would be handy but in the meantime make sure that the sample rate of your audio interface matches that of the session If samples are dropped then they haven't been recorded and therefore aren't in the media How bad this is depends on how many are dropped ...
