The issue i'm having is that the artwork is made in photoshop and is 400% coverage. 100%CMYK, is there a way when exporthing the artwork to have it merge with a spot color?

THe reason we put white on top instead of the bottom is because sometime we get very complex artwork that wont allow us to use white correctley if its on the bottom. And its just far easier on the artist to put the white on top and set to overprint. This is all for printing.

Yes its a spot color called white. Basically my press when printing on special stock (chrome for example) have to have white where someone doesnt want the chrome to show through. so when making artwork we have the artists make a white plate/color put it on top of the areas that need white and set them to overprint so they dont cut out all the text, art or anything that is under them.

it could be either. Right now we are in the process of moving everything white to its own folder to keep the documnet looking clean. so i think it would be easier to just say anything in the white layer set to overprint?

I thought i saw a script on here a while back but i could be wrong. is it possible to make anything with the name "White" overprint? my documents have several pages each. Or if it makes it easier we also have a "White" layer if there's a way to make everything in that layer overprint that would work as well. Thank you!

Hello i'm trying to find a script that takes a multipage document and extracts each page individually i've tried the scripts here https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/splitting-a-multi-page-indesign-document-into-separate-indd-files/m-p/9869082#M100572 but i dont think they're compatible with CC 2022 or 2023. does anyone have a working version of these files? the master page itself was selected. I did finally get this to work I'll add your's as the correct answer just becasue i'm replying to it. I had to reset my Preferences, delete my cache several times and select this master page several times for it to work.

Merge is how the Designer is doing it now. Kind of fixing what was done wrong. I was just trying to make it easier where once he opens the document the eventlistener would start the script automating the process.

I havent tried any of these scripts yet i'll try and check them out tomorrow. What i was doing it Having a Script delete a "named text frame" from a layer. then i was going to have anything that was left in that layer move to a different layer. Whats happened is there are several files where the Designer wasnt paying attention and placed all kinds of Art, Text frames, Guides etc... in the wrong layer. So by moving everything out of that layer we clean up the documents a little more. and keep items where they need to be. I hope i am making sense?

This isnt working for me. when i add this to my Eventlistener or keep it as a standalone script it doesnt delete anything that i change the "Back" name to. I tried it on my text frame called "Back" and then Edited the Back to "OUR Barcode" to see if it would delete that.

will this also delete image frames as well? some of the "Backs" have pictures in them as well that i'd like to be deleted. This may actually be my entire issue for my test file not deleting the text frame. it was a text frame until a image was placed into it. So is there a way to make it delete any frame (Text or image) with the name "Back"?

Basically what i'm doing is creating a "Proof Form" where someone can drop their artwork in a box (have this working) is there a way to get the colors from that PDF and automatically populate a text field with the Color Names? For instance the PDF i drop might have CMYK but also have Pantone 185, 387 etc... I'm probalby not explaining this well so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
