I downloaded the new Creative Cloud update today (12/1/2024) with great anticipation. However, I was bitterly disappointed. Adobe has obviously not taken care of the proper functioning of Muse in any way. Despite the CC update, the Muse problem still exists. So even now, after the latest CC update, Muse can only be started via cumbersome detours. Yes, Adobe is letting its customers down. At least those customers who dutifully pay their monthly fees for Muse. How sad ...

georhansc, i found the following: Kudos to Adam Mehlhaff from the Adobe Muse Support forum on facebook. In fact, the method he suggested was the only one that worked besides other proposals and I was able to launch Muse, make changes to my pages and upload the updated pages. At first I was a bit skeptical as Adam is on WIN 11 and I am on WIN 10, but it worked perfectly. This is certainly not a permanent solution, but at least I was able to start Muse and make the urgent changes. How did I do? I went to the app directory using the Windows Start menu via Settings. There I selected the Adobe Creative Cloud app, clicked on the app with the left mouse button, then selected “Uninstall”. After a short time a new dialog appeared in which I had the option to click on "Repair". I did this and immediately clicked on the Muse program icon right after clicking the “Repair button”. Et voila: Muse starts as usual! The triggered repair process probably reinstalls the CC app from scratch, but everything worked. At least for me! 🙂

Hi kglad, thanks again for another propoesal! I have now tried every conceivable combination (while the CC app was running) - it didn't work. Attached screenshot with active applications of the task manager. As you suggested, I closed one Adobe task, then two, then three, then all - the result was always the same: the Muse interface showed up very briefly for about 2 seconds, but without palettes and windows, just the main menu bar at the top of the screen (screenshot attached). By the way, the task manager shows Muse as active after starting (see screenshot), but you cannot access the application. It's still Christmas, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be happy about a CC update with working Muse software as a "present". Can you hear me at Adobe?

Hi kglad, many thanks for the quick support! I just did it as you suggested, the result was identical. The Muse screen appeared for two seconds, then Muse closed again. Immediately afterwards, the CC update popup appeared, indicating 3 new updates. I even deactivated all Adobe apps in the autostart menu. So the system boots up without Adobe Apps activated. Too bad ...

Hi kglas, i closed all - and really all - Adobe apps via the task manager, logged out of the CC completely and tried to start Muse again. No success! An Adobe screen popped up immediately, prompting me to log in to CC. After logging in, the CC Updater appeared immediately and displayed three updates (Photoshop etc.). When I started Muse, the Muse environment appeared, but only the top menu entries, no palettes or windows etc.. And all this for a maximum of 2 seconds. That was it. After that everything disappeared again. So none of the suggestions worked. At least not for me (WIN 10). Thanks for the support, though.

I phoned the German Adobe Service today. The service employee said that the problem is well known and that several people have already called. However, he did not know whether it would be solved. He said it could take a week, a month or maybe it will never be solved. That sounds exciting - doesn't it?

For test purposes, I have just installed the software on a new system under Windows 10 - no success. When starting the program, the progress bar increases to about 40% of the length, then the window closes and nothing happens at all. It is therefore not possible to work with the software. Right now I have to update many of my customers' pages with the opening times of their stores over Christmas and the holidays, design and publish Christmas and New Year's greetings, prepare the pages for the turn of the year. It's not possible! What should I tell my customers? Adobe has never restricted or limited the functionality of the software. It was well known that the program would no longer be supported and updated, but a complete blockade of the software was neither planned nor announced. Me too ... I can no longer start the software either. I don't know what has happened. It can only have been caused by a CC update. That's pretty dramatic, as I've still built countless websites with it and have to maintain and update them accordingly. I don't need any support for this software, just a program that works. Html remains html ... Unbelievable ... I'm curious to see what comes next ... (WIN 10).

Went back too, John. 13 felt strange and "unprecise", the grid function didn't work properly, i even had "pulsating" image previews when inspecting my images full size (went from bright to dark). Also picture deletion didn't work properly. Was afraid to delete more pictures than those selected ... 12 is back home 🙂

Hi Peter, thanks a lot for getting back. Yes, it is a very annoying thing with this strange color rendition in Acrobat. I produce print pdfs on a daily basis and every time i open up a pdf in Acrobat i become unsure whether I can use this data at all. I use the color picker to check the colors and give me confidence that the values are correct. But after all the displayed content in Acrobat looks similar to a $5 plastic monitor although i am using a reliable EIZO monitor. Let's hope that someone will find a solution ... Sincerely Michael

Hi Peter, i do have the exact same problem. When producing a pdf-file out of InDesign with my proven presets the pdf file looks oversaturated in AcrobatDC. When viewing the pdf in Bridge, opening the pdf file in Photoshop or even opening the file in Illustrator - colors look fine. I can measure the color values of my pdf-file within Acrobt and they are correct. It is the overall appearance of the colors, that looks strange and extremly artificial. Did you find a solution yet? Dear all, having the follwoing problem using InDesign 2022 with windows 10. I compiled all the color profiles i used before (did purchase a new workstation). Theses are my print and output settings using isocoated and pso_coated settings as well as iso_newspaper settings. Photoshop keeps all my defined color profiles, Bridge does the same (even shows the closed color circle that confirms consistent color management), even Illustrator works fine with the chosen profile settings. InDesign however refuses to load and keep my chosen color profiles and switches back to srgb and US-color profiles i don't want to use. Does anybody else suffer from this problem and is there a "remedy" against this strange behaviour? Thanks for any support!
