Currently Multi-Camera source angles crop to the resolution of the containing sequence. E.g. a 4K multi-cam placed in a 1080p timeline results in a cropped preview monitor. Not great for 4K shoots intended for HD delivery where reframing/scaling is needed. It would be great to have the option to disable this behavior so we can view the complete frame.

Agreed. @Bruce Bullis any updates on whether this fix is on the roadmap? While the current cropping behavior does have some utility (as noted by Ben Insler in this discussion: link), it would be extremely helpful for those of us working 4K>HD to have an option to disable it.

UI request. Recent changes to clip design has made it much harder to see cuts in the audio : The old design had a clever outline at edit points which made them much easier to see :

As a trackpad user this gets the thumbs up from me but why is panning so juddery? Should be as smooth as using the Hand tool.

Yes, I second this. Nice if we had the option to only show a label for the 'Master' sequence. This was how I worked in Final Cut Pro 7 back in the day.

Agree, this would be really great to have. I'm a bit surprised this request hasn't received more attention—perhaps it's because more editors have transitioned to Premiere from Final Cut rather than Avid, where this feature is available.

I like it! Should the colored swatches also dim when inactive, same as the sequence names? That might make it easier to identify the active sequence. On by default.

I agree. Comparing a timeline in v25.0.0 to the Beta, the new design clearly makes editing harder. The rounded corners reduce visual precision, for instance I find the audio cut at 00:00:01:16 much harder to see.

Good news, there is a command to do this - Clear Selected Marker - I have it set as a shortcut. Bad news, it only works on Timeline markers. To delete a clip marker in the timeline, I use Match Frame, then use the shortcut above to delete it in the Source Monitor.

Small but annoying bug. When the Transparancy Grid is activated, it appears in the background when using the Slip/Slide tools. Pretty distracting, the background should be black. MacBook Pro 14inch M1 Sonoma 14.6.1 Premiere 25.2.0 (76)

I've noticed after using the Trim Mode the duration in the Program monitor doesn't update despite setting new in/out points. To wake it up you have to activate another panel then return to the Timeline. Happens in both the Beta and release version. I'm assuming it's a bug as I don't see any advantage to this behaviour. Thanks Ann. I thought it used to be 1024 x 768? Even the 'More Space' scaling option isn't 1920x1080? Had this issue with the Sequence Settings panel after the new design and Adobe managed to fix that so hopefully they can fix this too for those of us with older eyes.

@MyerPj Exactly. @R Neil Haugen For me it's just a quick way to review each change I make as I edit, whether that's swapping a clip, changing cut point, reframing etc. Before I would hammer Step Back Many Frames each time I made a change. Also, I almost never want to start playback dead on an edit point, much prefer a little preroll.

Yeah, agree it'd be great if it were native. Definately try it with the keyboard, I have mine set to 3seconds activated by the Tab key. Use it constantly. A few taps and you can quickly scrub back 6seconds without ever touching JKL or a mouse.

@Ann Bens Poster wants preroll but then normal playback (without stopping or looping). A macro is the only way i'm aware of.

I created a macro to do exactly this. It works really well—much better than "Play Around." Only downside is that you'll need to buy Keyboard Maestro, but trust me it's well worth it.

@Ann Bens Thanks. Haven't looked at the Beta for a while, glad to hear Adobe are making the highlight more visible. Realise my post wasn't clear. What I should have said was that I find scrolling jerky when using a trackpad. If I use the scroll bars all is good. Will rewrite.

I've come to realize how difficult I find it simply scrolling through clips in a bin using my MacBook Pro trackpad.. In thumbnail view, instead of scrolling smoothly down a bin of clips - as happens if I use the scroll bars - using the trackpad the movement is jerky. Visually, I find this disorienting and easily lose my place. This isn't helped by the lack of a clear indicator showing which clip is highlighted, for example:

I too wish panels didn't need to be active to make zoom/fit keyboard shortcut work. I suggest making the shortcut application-wide rather than specific to each panel. While it’s possible that a user might have both the Source and Program monitors zoomed and only want to reset one, this seems like a rare use case. In most cases, it’s likely to be one or the other (mainly the Program monitor). p.s. I still want a way to pan using a trackpad. Hand tool isn't cutting it!

I recently added delete empty tracks as a keyboard shortcut, which helps a little. However, it'd be much better if it didn't happen at all.

Full height waveforms are still available if you click the wrench icon in the timeline and turn off Show Audio Names. Obviously audio names can be pretty useful so i've made it a shortcut. EDIT : You also need Show FX Badges turned off as well.
