@Monika Gause Yes, in places other than "Templates" e.g. in a work folder. I was trying to get my custom template into the window that pops up when I click File > New. I might have been trying to save in the Application's "Templates" folder which of course is forbidden.

Additional info: I was trying to save the page as a template in the Templates Folder hoping it will show up the "Let's start something new" window, when next I click "File > New" in the application window bar.

@c.pfaffenbichler Yes, with your suggestion I'm closer to what I'm seeking, in particular the effect attached. I hope to find a less rigid texture than the canvas weave, something like watercolour paper with texture. However, I have spent over two hours exploring patterns to use with the texture option but find only the see 3 folders: Trees, Grass and Water, not quite applicable unless I'm missing something in the settings. Trying to locate canvas or textured paper patterns, including clicking "import patterns" to no avail. My next step is to search YouTube tutorials. If you can provide additional pointers, that'll be great. Thanks again for your guidance. Much obliged. Attached work in progress shows the crude render with my Coarse Grain 01 brush.

How do I maintain one grain coarseness regardless of brush size in Photoshop. The effect should be like drawing with crayons or pastels on grainy paper, a consistent texture created throughout the piece.

I have encountered this problem a couple of times because I mistook the crop tool icon for something else I wanted to select and couldn't undo. I just had another incident with it yesterday which lands me here after googling. Luckily I reverted by scrolling through the history panel. Can Adobe provide an "Undo" button or popup warning?

I'm on AI 27.4.1 (aka 2020) and issue remains. It's maddening trying to keep track of original creation and modified dates. Adding to the confusion is "Content created" which is cryptic and I presume indicated the very first time the content was created. However it is some 2 months after "Modified"! Am on Big Sur 11.5.2

When I clicked Fill & Sign, then "Sign yourself" icon, the first popup shows Add Signature. Add Initials. When I clicked Add Signature, the entire screen is overlayed with dark grey, with no popup or window to continue. Not even a "Cancel" option. The 3 dots on the top left corner do not work. In effect the window hangs and I have to force quit. I did this several times. It's maddening.

I got into a loop a few days ago trying Fill & Sign. However I discovered that if you only want to sign with stylus, use "Comment" function. It works flawlessly. Just click the pencil tool to sign with mouse or stylus.

@Monika Gause Yes, I checked the number of artboards in the artboard panel. All numbers 1 to 157 in sequence. But on the canvas all the numbers 1 to 157 are in sequence too, except number 13 which displays as "158 - Artboard 255" [see attachment A]. There isn't an artboard 158 on the canvas but there is one in the artboard panel [B]. On the PDF pg 13 is correct [C], but is repeated as pg 158 [D].

@Luke Jennings3 Yes I have a layer with artboard numbers entered manually as these IDs are not visible unless I select the Artboard Tool. This layer helps me local each artboard faster than clicking on the Artboard Panel. This layer was turn off before saving AI to PDF. I noticed that Artboard 13 is labelled "158 - Artboard 255" on the canvas, but shows as "13 Artboard 13" on the Artboard Panel. Might be a clue there. In the PDF, artboard 13 is rendered correctly in sequence, but the same content appears as pg 158 (the extra page after 157, last page). See attachment. I have done a 157-artboard file in Illustrator and saved as PDF. However the PDF turns out to have 158 pages, the last being a repeat of page 13. I sent to client without checking and felt quite embarrassed with no explanation to offer when she pointed out the error. Upon doing some typo corrections, I resubmitted the revised PDF and got a response from my client that page 158 had reappeared! Red faced again. My workflow started with doing 36 dummy artboards as templates, all text no images for price stickers. Upon approval, I cloned them 5 times by option dragging to produce 180 artboards. Deleted 23 so 157 remained. I then filled each template with the necessary text by copy-pasting from a list provided by the client. Then saved as PDF. I did a quick check of the AI file again and noticed that the label on Artboard no. 13 is “158 - artboard 225” (see attachment), while the number in the Artboard Panel is “13 Artboard 13.” Is there a clue here pointing to the error? Perhaps the way I duplicated the artboards was incorrect?
