Still the same issue here on mac osx with all updates applied as of 12/18/23. It's been this way through a few of the most recent updates. Copy/paste timelines in the bin still seems to be randomly working. I've had it work, then stop working in the same project. I often duplicate timelines and have always used the copy/paste in the bin and rename it. I would be fine with using duplicate if there was a way to do a keyboard shortcut. I tried to create one in the shortcut manager area, but it isn't an available function that I can find. Right clicking and selecting duplicate is a fair amount slower than being able to have a quick keyboard shortcut (not sure if it's my imaginiation, but it seems like the right click menu randomly changes and items are in different places thought app(s)). Hopefully the copy/paste will be something they will be able to address in an update.

I bet that's what is happening for me as well. I have two Lumix s5II's and a Lumix s1r. A folder of new s5II images doesn't have a crop, but all my s1r images are cropped. There must be a similar setting in the s1r that has that. I'll check and report back.

Gosh, almost two years after your post and still looks like there might not be a way to do this. Did you ever find a way to do this?

Hello...I came across your post this week as I have also been experiencing some pretty substantial slowness in Bridge that "seemed" to get worse as the newer versions released, but has existed for what seems to be the last 3-4 versions. I'm on the current 2022 version on two systems, a xps 15 laptop with windows 11 and custom built PC with windows 10 pro. Both were seeing this horrible slowness in Bridge and it was to the point that I was researching other options. But I couldn't find anything that could do what Bridge can do with ACR and photoshop integrations, etc. I could go on and on about that road, but I'll come back to how I ended up fixing my speed issue. This post (https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge-discussions/why-is-bridge-cc-so-slow/td-p/5755175) helped me to ultimatly discover what was causing my Bridge slowness. It without a doubt came down to on both systems have mapped network drives to a local server and a web server that I VPN into. Some of them aren't always connected, but still show up in windows as a disconnected drive. As soon as I removed all the mapped network drives that weren't connected, Bridge instantly performed like lightening!! It was incredible. So, my guess is that on both windows or mac, if some sort of drive is connected, but not linked... maybe even to the point of a dropbox connection, or similar, that may be causeing Bridge to crawl. Mine was litterly taking 20-30 seconds to open a directory with 1 or 2 small web sized jpgs in it. I could open a folder, click to another and clicking back into a folder would lag on loading. If I batch renamed files and clicked refresh, it would take 10, 20, sometimes even up to a minute for the files to show again. Both systems are now like lightening in Bridge and I couldn't be happier. Just wanted to share my discovery and hope it helps someone else. I'm now on to seeing alternative ways to connect to other computers on the network... but for now, I'm absolutely thrilled that Bridge is fast!

Weird, it won't render that as a preview or a final file? What's the effect applied, or the file type? If it's a plugin, maybe it needs to be updated for the newer version... or if the file type has some sort of corruption? I've sometimes had to re-render a file out in vlc or sometimes even media encoder can render it to a ProRes to be able to work with it in Premiere. Weird that media encoder can use it, but premiere can't. I just had a three files from my camera that wouldn't import into Premiere 22, but Media encoder could read them and I re-encoded them to a ProRes wrapper and they imported and worked fine in Premiere then.

I know the feeling, argh. Sorry you've been seeing this. Have you tried the stuff on YouTube? I just searched; "A Low Level Exception occured in Adobe Player (Player: 55)" and found this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n6A6WACzpI Not idea to disable hardware encoding, but may get you through the project? Maybe it's an nVidea driver issue too? Looks to be a bunch more videos on it too. Sorry if you've already tried some of these. Hope it helps...

Update 11/21: Premiere opened up on both systems without any issue and nothing changed. Yesterday I rebooted multiple times, complete shut down and start ups. Maybe something wasn't authenticating properly on checking for subscription status at Adobe as the program opens or something, but it's all good now. Opened and closed multiple times and all good. So if you run into Premiere or Aftereffects not starting, try disabling your wifi/internet and might get you out of a pinch. Hope it helps someone...

Hello community, Just putting this out there to see if anyone else started seeing this. I have two systems (one laptop, one PC) running Premiere 2022. They both have been working fine ever since upgrading. I work in premiere daily on these systems and have for the last couple years. I just opened up both computers this morning to start working on projects that I was just working on last night, all of a sudden premiere will not open on either system. My laptop is windows 11, desktop pc windows 10. I discovered after unplugging my external hard drives and also external usb dock that has ethernet which is how I get internet to my laptop. I have found that if the internet is off on both systems, Premiere starts up on both systems without any issues and seems to start faster than normal. All my projects open up and I can edit fine. If I hook my internet back up, both systems won't open premiere. It seems most of the other Adobe CC apps latest versions 2022 open fine (photoshop, audition, illustrator, bridge), except After Effects 2022. I also have a an older version of Premiere on just my PC (not laptop) and it doesn't open with internet connected. As soon as I disable the internet, they all start right away with no hesistation. I can even turn internet back on after they are open and they seem to work fine. Before I discovered the internet thing, I've tried all the stuff I searched for (removing that essentials sound json file, removing all my plugins, clearing caches, tried compatibility modes for windows, made sure all programs were updated to most recent version). Nothing seemed to get it to be able to open. I haven't tried to uninstall/reinstall premiere yet. Maybe I'll give that a shot next. For now, I can start the apps with the internet off, but this is not ideal. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? Thanks! -Nick

Same problem here, I put a bunch of time into a custom bin folder with presets to settings that I use all the time. After the recent upgrade, the entire bin is missing. Super bummed this happened. I can't seem to find where they are saved to restore it. Hopefully someone knows how to get these back.

That path didn't work here on windows 10. Uninstalled and reverted back to previous version. The alt+shift resize to keep centered resizing is too handy to leave behind. Even did a search in all the adobe folders in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe. Didn't find a file called PSUserConfig.txt in all the photoshop folders including C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Settings

PC win 10 user... I have been holding off on using cc2017 as it has been a bit buggy and crashing when working with larger updated cc2015.3 projects. Nothing I really needed in cc2017, so I stuck with 2015.3. I tried the recent updated to 2017.1 released this week and it seemed pretty stable, so I started using it more. I imported all my gh5 footage from today's shoot, which was 4k 10bit 422 and 4k 60fps 8bit all vlog. All of the 8 bit footage showed up fine, but the 10bit just showed a wav form and didn't even play back the files. Imported all of the footage into cc2015.3, worked fine. Guess I stick with cc2015.3 a little longer...

So far so good on both of my computers with the CC2017 update. I was a little nervous going to it, but so far everything is good. Thanks for the fix adobe!!

I thought switching the ram preference from performance to memory helped, but didn't matter. Still run out of memory on projects with a lot of clips imported and eventually kicks off my monitors. I had to un-install the newest 2015.4 and revert back to 2015.3. So far today I have been working on a project for a few hours that was giving this memory grief instantly on 2015.4. I haven't walked on egg shells with premiere's stability since the version 6 days when I was using a matrox accelerator card. I'm back to saving my project after almost every minute of changes and making copies in case of corruption if a crash happens.

I am having the same issue on two different computers with different hardware. Both are running windows 10, some projects will load if they don't have a lot of clips. If they have a lot of clips imported (say 50 or more clips), I can't even get them to stay open without even doing any editing at all. I open Premiere, wait for it to fully load, eventually just runs out of ram and crashes. These are all projects I have been working on just last week without any issues... Both on a custom 6 core i7/32gb ram w/ nvidea 980ti and my msi ws60 xeon laptop w/ 16gb ram and quadro m2000. There is something going on with Premiere. No other apps are doing this. Hopefully there is a fix soon...
