Oh wow! The exact same thing happened to me. I sent them a huge amount of my raw footage and a project file. They told me that they cant recreate the problem. I think it happens most when I'm ingesting footage. If you try to do anything in the program when it's ingesting it looses its mind. So I usually give it an hour to load everything properly. It's still super slow no matter what I do though.

I've tried everything you suggested Fergus and it was still the same bugs and same lag still. Unfortunately I've left Premiere for Resolve. I just cant waste any more time with this program that doesn't work with my setup.

I have a macPro running Monterey 3.3 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon W 96 GB 2933 MHz DDR4 AMD Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB This bug happens non stop with a multi camera timeline. The longer the timeline the more lag. It's so bad sometimes that I can't even get it to play at all. Now I have been over the issue with tons of tech support folks at Adobe. As a matter of fact this case is still open. This problem is all over your message boards. People are leaving in droves. No professional I know is still using premiere. I think I'm the last one. This same thing happened to Final Cut when they decided to cater to consumers rather than professionals. It was the end of them and everyone left to come to Premiere. Now here we are 12 years later and the same thing is happening to Premiere. They decided to make a huge update and effectively wiped all usability with mxf files. So, no I wont be hanging around. I've already wasted too much of my time. I'm tired of waiting and I'm fed up. You've lost yet another professional.

These non stop bugs are a huge problem and ones that I've had since last May's update. Fergus reached out and said he would personally help me. I sent him an entire card of MXF files from my c300 mark iii and the C70. He said he couldn't recreate the problem and then I lost all contact with him. There is no solution to this problem and Adobe refuses to fix it. So I am moving to Resolve and ending my subscription. I am so astonished that they are just letting this happen. Every profesional I know in the industry is leaving or has already left. That is a crying shame. The end of an era. Your profesionals have left.

Fergus I can't seem to contact or reach you again. Your email inbox won't except any mail and I left you a voicemail and a text message with no response. I am still having massive drop frame issues and lagging a video when editing. I honestly am at a complete loss.

Yes, we shoot with the c300 mark iii and the c70. However everyone I know that shoots in MXF (which is alot of folks) have massive drop frame issues. Thank you for responding here today. I was feeling very ignored considering this bug has been a problem for months and months.

Adobe and Fergus, who is tagged on his post, have been aware of this problem for many months now. The latest update to premier 2023 did not fix the bug. I don’t know what’s going on at Adobe but I need a program that works with MXF files.

This latest update still has massive drop frames and black frames when editing with MXF files. This has been occurring since April's update. Adobe closed my case without addressing the bug. I originally thought it was my processor 3.3 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon W. For reference I shoot with C300 mark iii and the c70. I am a professional filmmaker and have been in this industry for 25 years. The reason I left Final Cut in 2008 was because of major program errors like these. We need a stable program and tech support that listens.

So Neil you have seen this problem before. It's a known problem and everyone is pretending like it's not. Has anyone fixed the drip frame issue yet? It's seems it has to do with the Xeon processor.

After 3 sessions with the tech support team I've come to the conclusion that they never write anyting down from any of our previous sessions. I dont have 3 hours to spend with them easch time as they unsucessfuly try to figure out why canon c300 mark iii MXF files and C70 MXF files have constant drop frames issues and other wild random bugs. The Adobe techs have all the information I can possibly give them at this point! SO FIX IT!!! I have 8 episodes of a show I'm editing right now. I have 25 years experience. Please dont speak to me like I'm an a novice or an uneduacted woman. As a matter of fact you should be paying for the time I spent with your techs.

OK, So I'm stuck with these bugs for awhile is what you're saying.. I think I'll just go back to the previous update until they figure it out. These problems have caused me hours and hours of time that I desperately needed. I'm fustrated beyond belief. I would have written in sooner but I haven't had the time to... because I'M DEALING WITH BUGS!

This new update has so many bugs! The wave form will suddenly flash and then disappear unless I restart. This happens just about everytime. Dynamic link is super buggy and will leave out clips if they are used in a different projects. Exports continue to fail and I have to restart. Not to mention the new export situation looks like it was made for 5 year olds. I'm so disapointed in this update!
