Thanks @Greg_S. that's great. Its seems, Adobe has elected to do a three year term license though, instead of an eternal licenses. Adobe Cuts Perpetual License for Elements Down to Just Three Years | PetaPixel I have Elements 2024 and 2022 licenses and would need the functionality for those.

In which way would users misuse it? The button would only be available when logged into the Adobe Account page. Next to the download button there would be a button 'Reset License'. After a reset the user needs to sign in with his adobe account again to use the app. Other softwares use this method to reset licenses.

I have posted extensively about the inability of Chat support to reset Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements Licenses here: Adobe is of the view that licenses should be managed by the clients on not by customer support. This is ok. However, Adobe does not put the necessary tools at the user's disposal to make this process easy. If the customer wipes a machine without signing out of the app first and then gives it away, the user has no way to reset the license and needs to purchase a new license. I have spend several hours chatting with customer support and there is no solution that they can offer. There would be an easy solution. All purchased one time licenses are listed in the adobe account page and the apps can be downloaded from there. If Adobe were to add a button "reset license" next to the download button, this longstanding and frustrating problem would go away (and customer care would have an issue less to deal with). Adobe, can you implement, this please?

After several hours on the online chat with Adobe Support I have learned the following: Deactivating a Photoshop Elements installation by signing out (in the help menu) is not reliable. The activation is not reliably removed from the machine and freed up The tool to reset activations has been decomissioned by Adobe in their infinite wisdom to make life hard for users of products with perpetual licenses The 'official solution' if stuck in the 'maximum number of activations' conundrum is to either migrate to a subscription based product (which is obviously Adobe's 'solution' of choice) or purchase an upgrade license to Photoshop Elements 2024 (at 20 USD reduction of the normal retail price) A truly sorry state of affairs.

Thanks @Jeffrey_A_Wright I did the redeem to verify whether the product keys / serials I have are correct and they seem to be so. Is there anything that can be done to reset the activations for the two licenses of Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2020? Happy to provide you with the serials via PM.

I just redeemed my original purchase code for the 2020 Elements Apps on Redeem (adobe.com) and got the same Product keys back again. So the product keys are certainly correct.

Thanks @Jeffrey_A_Wright The product keys of all my Elements Apps have 6x4 digits which is what I entered. I purchased the Apps on the Swiss Adobe site.

Ich möchte auf einem neuen PC Photoshop Elements 2020 und Premiere Elements 2020 neu installieren. Beim sign-in bekomme ich die Meldung dass ich bereits auf der maximalen Anzahl Computern mit dem Schlüssel eingeloggt bin. Ich habe diese Computer aber nicht mehr und kann mich nicht ausloggen. Eine Unterhaltung mit dem Chat Support führte zu keine Lösung. Der Support kann offenbar die Aktivierungen aufgrund einer "kürzlichen Politikänderung" von Adobe nicht mehr zurücksetzen. Damit werden meine beiden Lizenzen für Elements 2020 de facto wertlos. Wie kann man die Rücksetzung der Aktivierungen machen? Ich will kein Produkt mit einem Abo, deshalb verwende ich die Elements Produkte.

I am trying to install PSE 15 on my new HPEnvy x360 running Windows 11. I am getting an error message saying For security reasons your access was temporarily disabled. For more details contact Adobe Customer Support Seems strange, as I can log into my Adobe account without issues and PSE 15 has not yet asked for any serial number that could be invalid. How can I solve this issue? Thanks

I am also having the issue that Photoshop Elements Editor 2021 will not open on my MacBook Air (M1) with big Sur 11.2.3. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, but no success so far. PSE 2021 works fine on my 2018 MacMini (Intel), also running Big Sur 11.2.3

After some more forum searching, I removed PSE 2021 from both machines and started from scratch. I re-redeemed my code for PSE and got a different serial this time. The install on the MacMini 2018 went through smoothly and the new serial activated the software correctly. So everything works now on the MacMini 2018. On the M1 MacBook Air the install this time ran through smoothly. However when I try to start PSE Editor, I get a window saying "loading adobe photoshop editor workspace" with a turning symbol. The message stays on forever and I never get to the point where PSE Editor asks for the serial number. So I am still stuck. Can anyone confirm whether PSE 2021 works on Apple silicon? Thanks a lot.

I have bought PSE 2021 for mac and I redeemed my code to get the serial number. So far so good. I am trying to install PSE 2021 on my two Macs - a MacMini 2018 (Intel), BigSur 11.2.3 - a MacBook Air Late 2020 (M1), BigSur 11.2.3 On the MacMini the install went through and when I open PSE, I get the first screen, where I can chose Photo Editor. When I click Photo Editor, I get the "Loading Photoshop Editor" Message and a spinning star, but the editor never opens. I have reinstalled once and get the same issue. On the M1 MacBook the installer is stuck at 82% since several hours and does not progress any more. I would appreciate some pointers where I might be going wrong here. Thanks

Hi all I have reinstalled Windows on my Office PC and I am stuck with ADE. I have ebooks that were purchased with two different Adobe accounts. I used to be able to authorize ADE with two accounts and then simply switch between the two accounts using Help/Authorization Information. Now when I authorize ADE with one account, it does not seem to be possible to authorize with a second account, except if I completely delete the first account. In Help/Authorization Information only one account is shown, no matter what I do. Am I missing something here?

Hi Nansky I cannot open the respective books at all. I have asked the book vendor about the issue and received the following answer (translated from German). The error occurs if: The book has been downloaded before with another Adobe ID. I have two Adobe IDs but I anm quite sure I downloaded these books with the current one The book has been previously imported into ADE authorized without an ID So I believe neither is the case. I find this Adobe ebook identification scheme absolutely customer unfriendly. I am NOT a computer novice and I am unable to solve this seemingly simple issue. Wonderful brave new digital world! What can I do to get these books back. I have PAID for them.

Hi I am getting the following error when I try to open certain ebooks in ADE. I have tried the following: - de-authorize ADE through the menu item (not successful) - de-authorize ADE by deleting the Adept key from the registry (successful) - re-authorize ADE (this gives me the error message below as well) How can I solve this problem?
