i know they all work, but from different menus and that has big impact on workflow i'm used to... and it is not first time that adobe breaks basic features... especialy this bug is such that they could see while testing, so how they could release it?... or do they make us testers and making us paying for that? i still wonder what's wrong with adobe last years

well, today's update did repair bug... unfortunately it is fixed only partially... some adjustments layers are still not available with Palette menu, but only in main menu (for example Exposure or Posterize in BW mode)

sorry for confusing, it is my fault... I'm not working with AI document, only with PDF, but saved with Illustrator default PDF preset - that's why I call it Illustrator PDF so if I understand correctly, PDF with linked images contains hi-res images with JPG compression for viewing and printing, but it is not editable unless I have original images, and PDF with embedded images contains uncompressed hires images and it is editable without external images

I'm very basic user with Illustrator, so I would like to ask for explanation. I have a Illustrator document with linked images, saved as Illustrator PDF, not PDF/X. It is 130 MB size. Same document with embedded images is 560 MB. It is clear for me until now.. But: in Acrobat both documents looks visualy same and images have same resolution (checked with Preflight), which I really don't understand why. And second question is: What happens, if I send document with linked images to print shop, and they import Illustrator PDF into Corel Draw? What happens with images? How does Illustrator handle linked and embedded images saved as Illustrator PDF for another processing? Thanks for any explanation.

I understood. But what I'm talking about is that I don't want to disable shortcut and move the cursor over screen everytime I need to change tool. Or still think about that I had assigned different shortcut for tool that used to have certain shortcut for years.

I'm having problem with Tools, that not keeping in their last selected state and it is annoying. When I select Magic Wand tool, then I select different tool, close image, open new image, press W, Magic Wand tool is not selected anymore, instead Quick Selection tool is active and I have to change it back to Magic Wand again and again. Same for example with Laso tool and Polygonal Laso tool (L) How do I make tools keeping their last used state?

I have installed new versions of PS and INDD and immediatelly havce discovered there is something broken again. I'm not able to send picture from Indesign to Photoshop with Edit Original menu (also shortcut Shift+E not working, altough it is assigned). Then I rolled back Indesign to 19.5 presumed it's his fault and it is still not working, so I rolled back PS 25.12 also, and it s working again, so I guess Photoshop 26 can't handle pictures from Indesign. Update well done again.

After some time of using 25.12 I have to say PS behaves still very bad. The most problem that drives me craze is sticky tool after moving canvas with spacebar while having cursor in value box of any panels. Spacebar clears value in box and causes sticky cursor, which can be eliminated by clicking anywhere. Why it can behave like before in 25.4 version?

Thx Mohit, finaly there is a ALT bug fixed stable version. Unfortunately I have to say, overall performance of this version is much worse then 25.4, which I used until this update. All kinds of brush based tools, canvas movement with hand tool or zooming and brush size changes based on HUD movement (with mouse and pen) are rather laggy and choppy then smooth, altough my PC specs are higher than reccomended.

It is almost 5 months from breaking down dialog windows and it is still not fixed. @Sameer K, what are you still investigating? Your engeneers do not keep track record of changes to source code? Why they can't fix it? Why do you not communicate? I read it as very strong disrespect to paying customers! You make our work harder, not better.

it is still there, and I still couldn't find what is related to... also I have no GPU settings in Preferences sometimes it shows on, sometimes not... the line is still on the same place no matter what page zoom is used

So after persisting problems with new graphic card I have tried another new card, with more memory, fully compatible with PS (all checkmarks green), fresh new drivers, tried few different performance settings in Preferences, but it is still crashes.

Sameer, thanks for your trying to help. Don't take it personally, but I'm really tired with deleting Preferences mantra and setting up Photoshop from scratch after every update just because some basic features are broken. You really can't make updates without breaking what is working and without forcing people to reseting preferences again and again? BTW, no, your suggestion didn't help. Fresh install and shortcust still broken. So I have to go back to v25.4 again, third time trying and reverting.
