Man, I am so sick and tired of having all these new glitches / bugs appearing with every single release of InDesign... we don't need these headaches Adobe – can't you get anything right? What's going on with your developers, they lack simple attention-to-detail and keep breaking stuff! Been going on for years now, and am completely over it!

This has been happening for about 6 months now.
In the CC Libraries pane, when I try to drag anything into the bin icon at the bottom, the whole inside area of the pane moves/shuffles around (like dragging the scroll bars on a web page that isn't responsive, for example).
This results in me not being able to drag and drop anything into the bin, as the bin icon will always shuffle away from the mouse cursor.
It's bin annoying.

I understand how 'old' my computer is but it is still apparently 'compatible' according to the CC app. Therefore it should work properly. I cannot update my OS on this computer and not all of us have thousands to spend on a new Mac. Thanks for your feedback, however, it has been of little help to my situation.

Yes, I'm doing that now BUT IT DOES NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE with Workspaces disappearing after an update, or even just randomly. The new user settings feature is simply a workaround for a problem that's been there for years. A band-aid solution and nothing more. Not good enough!

Thanks Eugene, I'm already across the user settings... although this doesn't resolve the issue with losing Workspaces when an Adobe app updates (and yes, I'm keeping my preferences from the previous version)... very annoyin Adobe!

It would be very handy if we could search the InDesign preferences. Sometimes it's not easy to remember which section a particular preference setting is under, so it would be great to be able to do a search for, say 'Default View', which is under 'Display Performance'. Surely this wouldn't be too difficult a feature to bring into InDesign (and other Adobe apps)?

Whenever I update to InDesign 19.4, it keeps crashing and generally playing up. This has been going on ever since 19.4 was released.
I have to keep downgrading to 19.3 and can't use any of the new features because of this bug. This should entitle me to some compensation I would think?

IF YOU REALLY UNDERSTOOD HOW FRUSTRATING THIS IS, YOU WOULD HAVE FIXED IT YEARS AGO. WORKSPACES STILL DISAPPEARING OVER AND OVER AGAIN, VARIOUS APPS. NO EASY WAY TO IMPORT WORKSPACES LIKE YOU USED TO HAVE. DAMN IT ADOBE, YOUR SOFTWARE IS JUST GETTING SO INCREDIBLY BAD.

I agree with the comments here. Adobe seriously and urgently needs to change its priority focus from haphazardly smashing out new features to fixing the performance issues that, in some cases, have existed for years across multiple apps (with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop being the worst offenders in my opinion). Adobe needs to get back to a focus on QUALITY over quantity, with a keen eye for detail being a crucial attribute of your developers. It seems that so many documented issues are overlooked in general, which is akin to ignoring your existing loyal customer base in favour of attempting to woo new customers to Adobe, which is a LOSING long-term strategy, becoming especially obvious once you've completely trashed the Adobe brand to the point where nobody trusts using your software and knows that there is little chance any problems will be fixed any time in the near future. What good are a whole bunch of updates if you haven't fixed many of the existing problems that have been plaguing and frustrating your customers, with lasting financial and reputational ramifications being the effects?

Well, thanks a lot Adobe, you absolute FOOLS, I've just wasted an entire night trying to get InDesign working... just hanging and crashing and carrying on. I didn't know if it was my Mac or what... until I tried uninstalling 19.0.1 and just going back to 19.0, which opened my document fine and is still all good after 1 hour.

Yep, same problem here... along with all the other issues/bugs/glitches/gremlins that haven't been fixed for – in some cases – years. It's like I unknowlingly installed an Adobe poltergeist on my Mac. Custom workspaces mysteriously disappearing. Strange, brightly-coloured polygons and glitchy shapes suddenly splayed across my pages, only to randomly disappear and then reappear again when zooming in or out. InDesign toying with my mind by telling me my 'file may be damaged' after it has spontaneously crashed – only to automatically open a completely healthy file seconds later. The 'paranormal activities' go on and on. Hey Adobe... how about spending some time fixing the myriad of broken stuff in your software before adding all of these wonderful 'new features', which inevitably just become more buggy problems your customers lose time, money, clients and hair over? 'Nuff said.

I am having the same problem. I open XD, all plugins have just vanished. It took me quite a long time to get the right set of plugins for my work... trying many of them out, keeping the good ones and deleting the less useful... one by one. Now, I have had to go and MANUALLY install 113 plugins, ONE BY ONE. Adobe, what is going on over there? You guys just keep on dropping the ball....

Adobe are hiding because they know how buggy[cursing removed] their apps are right now. Soooooooo many problems. What has happened at Adobe? The quality of their software has become quite poor.

Yep, ALL my workspaces keep vanishing, whenever I do an update of AI, INDD or PS.
I have to go and MANUALLY copy my saved workspaces into the preferences folders in the Library, it's a massive pain.
BUT SERIOUSLY ADOBE, ARE YOU EVEN THINKING AT ALL?
OBVIOUSLY, when the workspaces disappear, we have to copy them back in, as described above. BUT that fully stuffs up the UI in ALL 3 apps – the tools and panes all disappear when quitting and restarting the apps. The only way to get them back is to tap the TAB key twice, and then go and reset the workspace. I HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY SINGLE [cursing removed] TIME AND I AM JUST SO SO SO SO SO SICK OF IT!
FIX IT. ADOBE!!!! GRRRRRR

Whether we're a minority or not, it doesn't matter... Adobe Animate should, at minimum, be able to export in all basic and commonly used formats, such as animated SVG, as a standard. The fact this is not an option in Animate is absolutely unbelievable and an inexcusable oversight by Adobe. Sometimes I think they just develop apps haphazardly, release sub-standard software, and then ignore it once it's released. Just so they can say "one low price gets you Creative Cloud which includes 100 million apps, blah, blah".

So Adobe ANIMATE doesn't ANIMATE SVGs. Are you serious, Adobe? This is unbelievable. Not only that, you thought it would be a good idea to remove any third party export support, JUST TO REALLY ADD INSULT TO INJURY. Sometimes it feels like you're deliberately messing with your customers, I swear. There is no other logical explanation for such lunacy.

Okay, this is starting to get ridiculous... first InDesign redraw problems (like zooming in to a certain percentage and seeing strange polygons coming up all over the screen)... and now Photoshop is having redraw problems... constantly! The best way to show what is happening with about half of the Photoshop files I open, here's a Loom video demonstrating the problem. https://www.loom.com/share/2efd4aac50de438582280f4e34982cc2 I'm double-clicking smart objects and when they open, it's usually showing a piece of a previous image I was working on. To fix it, I have to turn the front layer on and off again. VERY ANNOYING ADOBE... these sorts of issues shouldn't be happening but have been for some time now... when are you going to fix this?!?!?!?!?! Can't believe I'm paying $45 a month for these BUGGY apps... so many problems... so many crashes, bugs, failures... it's getting to the point where it's taking so much longer to use InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator than it used to, and there are now SO MANY BUGS I'm considering canceling my subscription and just going over to Serif and the Affinity Suite... which doesn't have any bugs like this whatsoever. Apps paid for already, no ongoing expensive subscription... and far superior quality in my opinion. At least their apps don't crash constantly!
