Whilst working from home on a macbook (2015) and I've recently been working on a number of documents that I'm having to convert from .indd to .idml. We use a digital asset management system that requires a plug in for us to be able to drag and drop imagery into InDesign. Since updating to Catalina I'm unable to open any .indd or .idml file, the two error messages that come up are "Cannot handle the request because a modal dialog or alert is active" and the more frequent error message "unable to place file on layout". When I click ok nothing happens, InDesign eventually becomes non responsive and I have to force quit. I've updated InDesign, reinstalled the plug in required and still receiving the same messages. Any ideas?
