We can repro this and have something we would like you to try: Create a text file named PSUserConfig.txt and put it into your Photoshop setting folder (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2025\Adobe Photoshop 2025 Settings\) Paste this string into that text file: AllowCheckActualMouseDownNow 1, save, relaunch Photoshop and let us know if you can still repro the problem.

Using that brush, I see different size dots depending on how hard I tap down but I can still easily create dots without having to move the stylus. Have you changed your wacom stylus tip sensitivity/pressure curve? Also, are you using WinTab (UseSystemStylus 0 in PSUserConfig.txt) or just WinInk?

It may depend on the brush preset you are using. There are so many variables at play when you consider all the options/settings in Brush Settings (Shape Dynamics, tilt, pressure, scatter, etc). Depending on what brush preset you use, it may take a more aggressive tap to get a dot or you may need to adjust a particular setting. Do you experience this if you use the Hard Round preset from the default General Brushes?

Hey y'all. It has been very hard to repro this internally here at Adobe. There are so many variables. We did implement a lot of mouseUp/Stylus tracking fixes over the past number of releases so it sounds like there's been some success. Just recently we had a customer provide us with an excellent video with exact steps required to repro a related cursor flicker issue and we were able to fix it, which will be in the next release. If you have further specific steps or video talking through and illustrating the issue (with the current release), please share. Thanks!

@SinCr0w If unplugging your tablet resolves the issue, it could be a conflict with that tablet's drivers and updates with PS and the OS. Unfortunately PS doesn't officially support XPen. You might try using WinTab and see if that works (assuming your on a Win machine): https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/enable-optional-extensions-photoshop-cc.html#turn_off_system_stylus

You can try using WinTab as a possible workaround to see if it resolves the issue for you: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/enable-optional-extensions-photoshop-cc.html#turn_off_system_stylus
If you use this, make sure you disable Windows Ink in your Wacom Settings

We have shipped several fixes recently. Here is what you need to do in order to take advantage of them: 1. For batching via Actions/scripts, you can use a special gestalt that forces color profile output. Put the following string into a text file called PSUserConfig.txt (and put it in the Adobe Photoshop 2024 Settings folder): BatchForcePNGColorProfile 1
Then relaunch Photoshop, go to Help > System Info... and confirm you see PSUserConfig entries: - U BatchForcePNGColorProfile 1
2. You may need to re-record older Actions, specifically the Save PNG step. To determine whether this applies your Action, open the Save step and look at the bottom for "With ICC Profiles". If you don't see that, you need to record the step again to include that option.

@Benjamin32760768enyn Just to be clear, the issue you're referring to is that the cursor gets stuck as a pointer but still functions normally and DOES NOT get stuck functionally, i.e. where you click+drag and when you release the mouse button or lift stylus off the canvas it remains connected/stuck to what you were dragging (transform, making selection, panning).
Please clarify which issue you are experiencing. They are 2 different issues. This thread is related to the latter issue with functionality, not the cursor icon.

@Kuttyjoe Scrubby zoom issues are separate from this Hand tool sticking. You should start a new post/thread on that issue and it could be GPU related. Go to Preference > Performance and adjust some settings there to see if it helps things (i.e. try with/without Mutlithreaded compositing on/off, Advanced Settings... GPU compositing on/off). Also go to Help > GPU Compatibility... and see if anything is needed there.

We appreciate your patience while we fixed this. It was a nasty bug and easy to repro so we could turn around a fix relatively quickly. We're working on adding a case to our automation testing so that if this ever breaks again, we'll know asap and not let this get out to you, our customers. We have it on our backlog. This happens on the edges with slower strokes. Not the best solution but as a workaround, the easiest thing to do is to make the document bigger by an inch all around — to have some safety border area. And when finished crop out that extra safety border area.

Try physically deleting both your prefs folder (Adobe Photoshop (Beta) Settings) and the app folder (Adobe Photoshop (Beta)), empty the Trash, restart the computer, then see if you can install the PS Beta App from CCD.
