Thanks for the comment... It happens that I place .ai files (rarely .indd files), but I usually only use the .ai files for vector graphics without linked images, and when I usually embed the images in the .ai file. But I will keep it in mind so that I can do an additional check with these links when I use this script.

The window is unfortunately still too big and the part with the close button is always hidden, I can only close the window with Enter (fortunately)... edit: now its perfect and works with the old lines in the script before: et.maximumSize.height = w.maximumSize.height - 950; et.preferredSize.height = w.maximumSize.height - 600; et.minimumSize = [2000, 1000];

I just want to see a list of all paths - that would help... Or now that I think again, the above script is great for one purpose - but is there also a script where a single "Link" package is made of all the opened documents that i have in ID?

Perfect Mark, now it works again! Thank you! The only thing I have now noticed is that the pictures that are marked green can be found in different folders. Either I filter in the Finder with the tag "Green" to find the links, or if it would be possible to expand the script by possibly listing the exact paths to the folders in a new window. That would also be practical...

Ja, seit dem Script habe ich sei es OS als ID Version geändert, den Script habe ich nicht mehr so oft verwendet. Heute wollte ich mal das Problem lösen, da mir aufgefallen ist dass er nicht mehr funktioniert... MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1 und InDesign 20.1 Fehler ist: Hat es vielleicht mit diesem Link zu tun, was nicht als "6" gesetzt werden kann? Aber eine Fehlermeldung bekomme ich bei jedem Dokument wenn ich den Script probiere, es wird dann halt ein anderer Link aufgezählt im Pfad...

Hello! Whenever I want to create a text box in a newly created document with the T-tool, the box with black outline is created before typing the text. I tried to check all tools without an open document whether black outline is set, ID closed and reopened. Unfortunately, the text box is created again and again with black outline. As an alternative, you could only write the text in ID and only import the graphics...! Although it is already strange and it would certainly be better if you could solve the actual problem.

Sorry.... What is this magnet app from Apple supposed to be? I don't have this app on my system... BTW: the only thing that helped me was to uninstall and reinstall ID 2025. At least it's fast now and doesn't hang. There are occasionally some strange display errors, but otherwise it runs smoothly.

I took the time to reinstall ID, uninstalled everything before that - after the reinstallation manually added my saved settings to the library folder/program folder again and now it fits! ID is no longer slow...

Yes, I confirm the problem. Indesign 2025 is extremely slow. With every click, every mouse movement, eas with text editing, the beach ball always comes! I work with the quick view so that it is halfway bearable. But this is not a solution in the long run. Rebuilt the preferences doesn't work for me! Should i now reinstall ID and waste my time for an Adobe Problem?! PLEASE UPDATE SO THAT THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED, THANK YOU!!

Thanks to everyone! I managed to recreate it in my document with the demo.indd file. I'm glad it worked out now! Edit: I was too happy... the problem is that I have a lot of documents that contain this word "lD". Of course, my paragraph style with the grep styles is not available in these documents! Obviously, when I try to search for the word "lD" and replace it with the paragraph style, the window gives me the error message that this paragraph style does not exist in the document...

Hello! I have documents where sometimes the word "lD" is wrongly written. It should be replaced with λD (Lambda+subscript D). How do I manage to replace the l in the Symbol Regular font and at the same time lower the D? So far, I could only lower the D in the word "lD" with the help of the Grep search, but I can't figure out how I can replace the l in the other font. Can someone help me, please? Thank you!

Hello dear community! One thing has been bothering me for a long time in Indesign. I am working on a document and activate my print control in the Preflight window, if I then find errors, e.g. under "Text", I simply click on the underlined number of the page on the right and am then taken to where the error is. Unfortunately, it is always set to my 1:1 zoom, so if I want to investigate the error more closely, I have to zoom in manually or with my zoom-shortcut. If I click on the page again at the next error, I end up on the page again with the whole page displayed. But I want to stay at the same zoom level! This works well with the spell checker, for example, if I check my text at 300% zoom, I can always use the Next button in the control window to move from word to word at that zoom level. So is there anything that can be done to the preflight control to keep the zoom level the same? A script or plug-in? Thank you very much!!

If you see apps in this dropdown menu that no longer exist (are you sure? Have they been uninstalled correctly? Or are they still in the Launchpad and Programs folder?), then it may help to make a safe-boot or a terminal hack to renew the Launch Services. Then they would have to disappear from the list...
