System: Macbook Pro 16in 2021 (M1 Max, 32g ram, Sonoma 14.3) Photoshop 25.4 and 25.3.1 My files are rendering glitchy since I updated my Photoshop (I was previously using 2023 without any issues). Now I'll get random artifacts on my artboard, double images, and smart objects just not displaying at times. Sometimes scrolling will sort of "reset" how my file looks, but since updating I just can't get some files to display properly at all. I work with a lot of bigger files with many smart objects embedded in them and it's frustrating that this is a problem now. I tried going a version down from 25.4, but the problem still persisted in 25.3.1. I even tried turning off multithreading in the performance settings and it's still acting up. I haven't tried downgrading back to 2023 yet, but the fact that this is happening is such a bummer. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks so much in advance. Edit: I downgraded my photoshop to 24.7.2 and these rendering issues went away. I'm still wondering how to handle the performance in newer versions though.

Yes! Please! Why is this not already a thing? I'm getting into AE after years of using all 3 of the above programs constantly. The inconsistency and years of muscle memory make it so frustrating when working with text in AE. It's minor in theory, but when working with so much text, the extra effort adds up and really slows down the workflow. And for those who want to mention the numpad, some of us work on laptops that don't have it or we don't always have access to a keyboard with one. It's a simple accessibility fix that can make such a world of difference and I'm confused why it's not even an option when editing shortcuts.

This is very interesting to hear. While I'm not too worried about vector files I create (I 99% save in .ai format), I see EPS files a lot with assets you find on stock websites. I know a lot of people will at some point have to deal with files in this way and EPS is still so prevalent, so I'm wondering how the landscape will look once this really happens.

Are you on Monterey? I believe this is a common issue on Apple's end. It's something to do with Quicklooks not including EPS in the update. I was able to fix mine with the solution found in this Apple thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253307271 Copied directly from user Kurthis: Copy the "Illustrator.qlgenerator" from "/System/Library/QuickLook" to your desktop or any other folder you have read/write access to. Open "Illustrator.qlgenerator" by right clicking it and select "Show package contents". Open "Info.plist" in the "Contents" folder with a text editor. Find the line "<string>com.adobe.illustrator.ai-image</string>" Insert "<string>com.adobe.encapsulated-postscript</string>" below it with the same indentation and save the "Info.plist" file. Copy "Illustrator.qlgenerator" to "/Library/QuickLook" If you did everything right, you should now have .EPS previews back again. That's a workaround until apple fixes it in the System/Library, hopefully soon. *Personal note: When I did this I was confused at first cause I kept trying to copy back into the System folder I copied from. (it won't let you). You're copying into a different folder (the user one). Hope this helps!

Is there a way to set "Commit changes to Text" using Escape as a keyboard shortcut? I tried mapping it in the keyboards shortcuts panel, but everytime I try and input ESC it just exits the window. I'm just getting into AE and have heavily used Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign for years where pressing ESC quickly exits the text box and retains any edits. I come to find that I input text in AE and not only does it not commit any changes, but completely deletes the text box all together! This inconsistency after years of muscle memory has caused quite a few headaches when using text in AE. I've seen some scripting solutions for Windows users, but are there any solutions for those of us on a Mac?

@CarlosCanto Ok! I did manage to make it work! The problem was when I upload the .csv. I tried @m1b 's method of uploading the .csv file before I created any dynamic text. Basically linked up any instance I wanted to share the variable and was able to scroll through each data set without any problems. This is definitely a game changer!

So happy to hear that it's possible! I think now I'm just having trouble getting it to work on my end. Tried the method and I got an error when I loaded in the .csv file. What I did was: Select Text box and create dynamic text in Variables window. While that variable is still highlighted in the variables window, I select the other text box and then click create dynamic text. On my end, it looks like it duplicated the variable. Repeat for my other instances. Load .csv file (and get an error). I don't think it's a problem with my .csv file. I've been doing other tests where I did just duplicate everything and I was able to successfully load the info. Is there something I'm missing with the whole binding function? When I looked at the flyout menu I only ever got the option to unbind and not add/bind new objects. Or is it a problem where I should load my .csv first and then duplicate? I'm slowly understanding this feature, but compared to everything else in Illustrator this feels so finnicky.

I'm getting familiar with the data merge and variable functions in Illustrator and I'm trying to save some time in the long run. For context, in my file I have 2 separate text boxes. They have different text styles but they will have the exact same information. I have multiple instances of this where information is repeated and I was wondering if it's possible to assign one variable to multiple objects. Is there a script or workaround for this? Or do I have to basically repeat the variable and the data on my spreadsheet for this to work? Is it the same problem for images as well? Thanks in advance!

Everytime I open Illustrator, I get the "Illustrator found an issue with Wacom driver." pop up as shown in the screenshot. Initially, I did just put drivers in the trash. It wasn't until I upgraded to 26.0.2 that this started happening. So I follow some of the previous posts I've seen where I reinstall the drivers to do a proper uninstallation. I scoured my entire Mac to make sure there's no trace of anything labeled with "Wacom". On top of that, there's no processes going on related to it anymore, and this message still pops up. I've restarted my computer and Illustrator multiple times. I'm wondering at this point if there's still a hidden file somewhere in my Libraries that I missed that's not labeled wacom or if it has something to do with Illustrator now. Luckily, it hasn't caused any crashing or performance issues, but it's getting really annoying seeing it pop up everytime I open Illustrator after all this trouble. Any suggestions on how I can make it go away? Thanks in advance.
