Hi, I think I found the solution. 1) First, you need to go to Settings, Startup and repair, and then go to Reveal Preferences in Finder (or in Explorer on Windows, I suppose). 2) Then, you need to look for a file called Adobe After Effects 24.5 Prefs-indep-output. Before making any modifications, make a copy of the file to have a backup. 3) Close After Effects before making modifications. 4) Open the file with a text editor and scroll to the end. There you will find a section with all the render presets, their save path, and their naming format. In my case, it looks like this: ["Output Module Spec Strings Section v28"]
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 0" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 1" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 2" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 3" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 4" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 5" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 6" = ""
(...etc)
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 0" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 1" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 2" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 3" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 4" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 5" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 6" = ""
(...etc)
"Output Module Spec Strings Name 0" = "AIFF 48kHz"
"Output Module Spec Strings Name 1" = "Alpha Only"
"Output Module Spec Strings Name 2" = "H.264 - 5 Mbps"
"Output Module Spec Strings Name 3" = "H.264 - 15 Mbps"
"Output Module Spec Strings Name 4" = "H.264 - 40 Mbps"
"Output Module Spec Strings Name 5" = "ProRes 422"
"Output Module Spec Strings Name 6" = "ProRes 4444 Alpha"
(...etc) In the first part, "Base Path," you should write the default path. In "File Pattern," the format. In "Strings Name," you shouldn't modify anything. But this number helps you identify which preset number is your default preset. In my case, it was number 5, "ProRes 422." If you don't know wich one is your default preset, you can search for "Default OM Index" in the document and it will be equals to the number you need to modify. This is how it ended up for me: ["Output Module Spec Strings Section v28"]
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 0" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 1" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 2" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 3" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 4" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 5" = "/Users/fedeparodi/Desktop/Exports"
"Output Module Spec Strings Base Path 6" = ""
(...etc)
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 0" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 1" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 2" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 3" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 4" = ""
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 5" = "[compName].[fileextension]"
"Output Module Spec Strings File Pattern 6" = ""
(...etc) Also in the After Effects settings I have the option Use Default File Name and Folder checked on. Hope it helps!

Hi Justin, I was trying to achive something similar with my script, and your code helped me a lot. It works perfectly with almost all types of keyframes. But my problem is that I can't make it work with "shapes keyframes" like stroke witdth, paths, retangle size, roundess. Do you know what could be the problem? Thank you

It seems that the beta v23.1.0.46 solves this problem. So far it works like 22.4 (sometimes I have to scrub the playhead to extend the ram preview). M1 - 16GB RAM - 512GB SSD - macOS Monterey

Actually I think it was fixed by disabling Adobe Fonts in the creative cloud app

I was having the same problem. M1 Mac. I fixed it by going to the Font Book app, right click in the font and choosing "resolve duplicates". Now everything is fast again!
