I've been able to recreate this issue when exporting/saving .png from Photoshop and importing into Premiere pro.  I've tried multiple export color profiles, which did not help.   What solved it for me was after importing into Premiere, right-click the .png > Modify > Interpret footage > Color and override the colorspace to Rec 709.  This matched the .png colors to the underlying footage. More details:   I created a .png that masks out objects in a static video file. The photoshop file was created from a .tiff screenshot of footage in my premiere timeline. When overlaying the .png from Photoshop on the top track in my timeline, the shadows of the .png did not match the shadows of the footage.  After modifying the color space interpretation to rec. 709 (my footage is rec.709), the shadows, highlights and colors all matched perfectly.  Hope this helps! ... I have been able to recreate this bug on Pr 23.4.0 (Build 56) on an M1 Max, OS 13.2.1 when using the Lumetri Curves Panel. It seems that if you scroll down too far, for example, past the "RGB Curves" enough that the next set of curves is visible in the tool panel, I am unable to pen tool the curve or adjust any of its nodes. this method did not work to fix my "Blank" .mp3 issue. The only way I was able to fix it was by replacing it with a .wav version of the .mp3. (luckily I was able to download a .wav version, I did not try to convert in AME or AU) ... View more

It seems that "offlining" and simply reconnecting the original file does not fix this. Even after deleting all Caches + Preview files. The quickest workaround I found, as stated above, is re-conforming or redownloading a .wav version and reconnecting to the .wav.   Further, I also disabled "automatically generate waveforms", though I'm not sure that setting affected the outcome. ... This peak file generator seems to be the root of the issue.  However, I swear premiere used to continue generating peak files in the background while clicking around and opening other files, timelines, etc.  This feels like a really debilitating bug that needs to be addressed ASAP!   I have encountered this bug 3 times this week (three separate projects, three separate .mp3 files downloaded from ArtList ...
