So slightly off-topic but I mentioned a while back that I was having this issue with Premiere Pro. I had tried everything to get this working, but the FIX that worked for me, was the following (on Windows 10 I might add):   Create a new user with administrator rights and login to that user. Open Premiere Pro and try to export the file that was producing the HEVC codec error - it SHOULD now export successfully. Go back to your main user account and you should be able to export normally now.   Don't know why this works but it does and it's saved me a headache that's lasted months. Hi, I'm encountering this issue for the first time also.   I am working files created with a GoPro Hero 12 Black and when I come to export I get the same error mentioned above. I tried with a small clip as per the original poster, but the same error appears. I've been through every page of this thread and can see that the source of the issue seems to be something to do with the subscription plan?
