Thank you to everyone who responded to my problem. Based on the suggestions, I did two things. First the issue of stability of connection, when I tested the strength of my connection, it was over 600 mbps for downloads and over 200 mbps for uploads. Still I decided to reboot my main router. Second, I looked at the Firewall rules in my Kaspersky Internet Security software. None of the Adobe apps were being blocked. Nevertheless, I went in and explicit set rules to allow all Adobe products access to the internet. It seems to have worked. So far, after using the generative replace feature in Lightroom for a couple of dozen times, the error message has only appeared twice. So, for now, I consider the problem resolved.
