Magic!!! That seems to have done the trick. I gave InDesign 2024 and Photoshop 2024 full disk access and the InDesign app now appears to be working as normal. So I then thought I should check on my older computer as to which other apps showed as having full disk access. Answer: NONE! So, it seems at this early stage to have solved my problem – thanks heaps! – but I don't know why it's not been necessary on the older computer.

All seems too complicated for an inexperienced user – even the cc cleaner tool is for experienced users!

I tried the idml suggestion but that led to a file with none of the links showing. The rebuilding prefs etc link you sent is a bit too complicated for me! Thanks anyway.

I've tried with the HDMI cable and that leads nowhere. The USB c connection is direct from mini to screen.

My apologies if this post appears twice but I can find no record of what I believed I posted a few hours ago. I have just migrated everything from an older mac to a mac mini and most applications seem to be working fine although for some reason I had to re-install the Creative Cloud app. Except for InDesign (version 19.5 which worked on the older mac). When I open a file, all linked photos on the opened spread appear for a second, then they all disappear. “No errors” appears in the normal place at the bottom of the screen, and although all linked files show in the links panel, none indicates an error. Each one can be successfully re-linked individually, but I’m talking of school year-books with hundreds and hundreds of links. I have tried packaging a file from the old mac and manually copying the whole packaged folder to the mac mini, but it then misbehaves the same way. I have uninstalled then re-installed InDesign version 19.5, but the problem remains.

Thanks Steve. Yes, I do need to ask for help – I can't see within the Adobe InDesign CC 2019 folder what I should choose. And I'm tempted to wait until after I've finished the three rather important files I'm currently working on – very nervous about upsetting anything! Should be finished mid-November. But I'd still value your advice. Thanks.

I have just had my mac drive on an iMac replaced by a SSD drive. Everything, including InDesign (CC 2019) appears to work properly. The only problem is that, on opening InDesign, I am told that ButtonLibrary.indl cannot be found. Should I 1) recover the document later, 2) delete the recovery data or 3) Cancel? I have not used buttons in any of my current documents. The file ButtonLibrary appears in the ButtonLibrary folder in the Presets folder of the Adobe InDesign CC 2019 folder in "Applications".

I have just had a mac hard drive (in a 2015 imac) replaced by a SSD drive. Indesign opens and appears to work properly, but each time it opens, it tells me that ButtonLibrary.indl could not be found, and asks if I want to postpone its recovery. "Yes" to recover it later, "No" to delete recovery data, and "Cancel" to postpone document recovery. I've been choosing "Cancel" and Indesign appears to work properly. I'm using Indesign 14.0.2, my files do not have any buttons.

Thank you Shivam. Yes, I want to uninstall Acrobat DC Trial from an iMac running OS Mojave 10.14.1. In the Applications folder, there is a "Adobe Acrobat DC" folder which is presumably the one I want. Inside that folder are three files – "Acrobat Distiller", "Acrobat Uninstaller" and "Adobe Acrobat". The "Acrobat Uninstaller" is not labelled to show it uninstalls specifically Acrobat DC. Please reassure me that if I run it, ONLY Acrobat DC will disappear, and my previous version (Acrobat X, v 10.1.16) will remain. Thanks ... John H

When upgrading Photoshop and InDesign early December, (for which I pay subscriptions), I also installed Acrobat DC, thinking I was just upgrading my Acrobat X (10.1.16). I now find I have installed a trial version of DC, and will have to pay if I wish to use it beyond 7 days. I'm happy with 10.1.16, never use the cloud, so wish to get rid of DC. Is it simply a matter of using Acrobat Uninstaller – I want to be sure it uninstalls JUST DC, and not earlier versions.
