Hi Uwe, I tried posting on InDesign UserVoice, but keep getting a error when posting. Will try to post on Uservoice again another day.

Thanks, I found that one, though still doesn't help, when I have to place multible pages from the PDF on to a single page into certian frames, or needing to place in the frame on a single page. I been seperrating the PDFs into single pages to get around this, or if possible use the old version. Its a pain. I tried a fresh install on a new M1 computer, still the same problem.

I'm unable to use that script, as I need to place the PDF pages into a pre exitsing frames. That script creates its own frame, in the wrong spot. Thanks

I'm running ID 17.2 on OSX 12.3 iMac Pro. I have to place multi page PDFs into indesign templates to be printed and cut. I have never had the problem doing this until Version 2022 came out. Problem is I have a base template document which has a frame and other bits required for printing. When I select the PDF document with showing import options, I select all pages which is anything from 3 to 100+ pages. I then place page 1 into the frame, then thats it. InDesign thinks its finished, stops importing, no PG2. If I create a new frame while placing it will then go to PG2, but it will only keep going if I create the frames while placing. As soon as I place one into a pre existing frame, it will stop importing to rest. I've tried new documents, resaved PDFs, different computers and no luck. If I use Indesign 16.4 or earlier I have no problems. Any ideas?

I have used the script below for many years to export a PDF from documents dropped onto it. Now I'm starting to see Indesign crashing only on the newer macs running Sierra and CC2018. El Capitan running CC2018 don't have a problem at all. It happens at random times and files. Retrying the file that it crashed on, will usually work second time around. It can happen when 1 dropped file or when 150 files are dropped on it. Can anyone see why this would be happening? Thx on open fileList with timeout of 3600 seconds tell application "Adobe InDesign CC 2018" set myFolderPath to (choose folder with prompt "Please select the folder you want to save your PDF pages in") as string set myStyles to name of PDF export presets set myExportStyle to (choose from list myStyles with prompt "Please Choose an Export style") as string end tell repeat with aFile in fileList tell application "Adobe InDesign CC 2018" open aFile set myDocument to active document set myName to name of myDocument set MyPDF to myFolderPath & myName & ".pdf" tell myDocument tell transparency preferences set blending space to RGB end tell try set visible of layer "Visual Guide" of myDocument to false end try export format PDF type to MyPDF using myExportStyle without showing options close myDocument saving no end tell end tell end repeat end timeout end open
