So if we are *required* to log in to use Acrobat Reader *everytime* [sic], in what way is Reader a free app? Is that just false advertising? I pay a ton of money to Acrobat for their top cloud subscription and of course they limit my ability to use the product across the several workstations that I use, two at home, two mobile workstations and one at my office. I'm constantly having to log out of one of them to be able to work on the one that I'm sitting at. It's incredibly annoying. And then, adding injury to insult, I am required to log in to my account just to quickly view a pdf on the fly now. I've been an Adobe user since the first pdf protocol was rolled out. The corporate culture, as communicated to users via their pricing and product support has never been greedier or lazier, imo. They have taken the bar from Microsoft and lowered it significantly. They are just all over the place with product development. No consistent vision at all. And they are tone deaf AF when it comes to their users. I am just so mad about this, this morning. Just trying to get some work done preparing for a major presentation next week and this stupid roadblock has totally triggered me. So, official Adobe-heads, tell me. Where is this free Adobe Reader DC product that I should be able to use without logging in?

Yeah I'm NOT grandfathered in and I'm pretty sure I'm not re-upping this year. The current price structure doesn't reflect the diminishing value imo. There's real cost to having to constantly relearn interfaces and if I'm bouncing around anyway investing time in constant problem solving for each workflow with every single project I just don't see pretending that the Adobe ecosystem meets all needs anymore.

I care less and less about whatever bean counter decided to deprioritize this request because pretty soon all of Adobe's image creation and editing software will be obsolete and irrelevant. I already use it at least 80% less than I did just five years ago.

Man, that took you guys so long and you've been so aloof and unresponsive about it. Not a great look, Adobe.

Having similar issues right now running LRC on an older iMac tethered to my Canon 5D MkIII. It'll recognize it briefly but won't import images and then loses the connection and crashes. Frustrating!

I am trying to run LR Classic on an older iMac in my studio for tethered shooting. Right now I have two challenges. One, the studio is in a building that effectively blocks out any cell reception and has no landline, hence no internet. Okay. I took the computer outside, hotspotted my phone and reassured the hovering Adobe sign-in app that my annual CC subscription was real and I had the right to use the software. How long will that last? Is there not an offline version of the software that I can run? If it was truly problem free I'd even pay money to buy it. Cash. Right now. Just show me the software. The other challenge is that LR wants to never-endingly update my presets to xmp every time I launch - so annoying! How do I 86 that thing and why, Adobe? Why?

I see. Duly noted. Although you've apparently earned a "Professional" badge, you're not necessarily someone who really knows what my post is about. In general, you might be justified in answering a "beginner" with some snooty b.s. In this case however, not so much.

Correct. My "experience" has to do with Apple's M.1 chips and the installation complications arising from the new architecture.

You Adobe people have a real culture of arrogance and lack of customer service ethos. I mean just based on my thirty plus years of experience with your software and your recent comments in this community. No offense. That aside. No. Your answer is incorrect. Migrating Adobe software in this case worked, whereas "properly installing" did not.

Since neither Adobe nor Apple has seen fit to make this information prominent and accessible to new M1 owners in a responsible and professional manner, I am reposting it here. Personally I'm also filing it under the "Things I wish I had known yesterday that would've saved me a lot of time and aggravation" tab. How can I transfer Adobe apps from my old computer to my new M1 computer? We recommend reinstalling the apps on your new computer instead of migrating them using Migration Assistant. If you still want to use Migration Assistant, deselect the option to migrate applications or uninstall your Adobe apps before migrating. Already used the Migration Assistant? Run the CC Cleaner Tool to remove Adobe apps and components that were copied to the new computer. Once the applications are entirely removed, you can install your Adobe apps on your new computer. This shouldn't even be a question. The question should be, will AVIF and WEBP format support be available in the next upgrade or the one after that? My websites are all getting dinged by Google now in terms of searchability because my images aren't uploaded in one of those two formats. I go to create a workflow to convert all images and find that I can't do it with my (very expensive) Adobe Creative Cloud tools. What gives, Adobe? Too busy deprecating my hardware and tinkering with your 3D options?

I've had the same problem repeatedly since installing the lastest update. I solved it by forcing GPU on with a UserConfig file. I paid too much for this GPU four years ago to let Adobe force me to switch it out just yet.

Adobe has always only ever been a hardware-marketing vehicle. No surprise they're still not user-centric.

What is Adobe going to replace 3D features with in Photoshop? Why are they investing so much into neural filters? Is it because today's Photoshop users are that skills-development-averse? I see these "Community guidelines" up here admonishing me to be kind and respectful... Is there any such similar dev guidelines for Adobe devs? Be kind and respectful and don't peremptorily 86 features that users use or create new ones that put users out of business. It seems like the bean-counters are making the creative decisions. Never a good look. I've been using their software since day one. Literally. Day one. I was waiting for months for the release. I am so annoyed at the increasing erraticism of their development trajectory and the increasingly threadbare support they provide. Not that I ever really need their support on a regular basis but the one or two times that I have in the past couple of years. I've found it to be nearly non-existent. It doesn't seem like they care. There's no avenue to offer them feedback on these announcements they make. They don't explain themselves. That's obviously beneath them. So there, my question is why, Adobe? Why?

LOL. Typical forum troll answer. So basically, that function is missing from the Adobe desktop suite. As things stand, I capture in OBS and then go to PP and Audition to edit. Basically I'm trying to streamline and eliminate redundant steps. One would think that by now the PP devs would've added usb capture device recognition to the capture interface. Can't be that big a deal. I want to be able to work from within Adobe since that's what I'm paying for.

I'm trying to find a way to capture video using my desktop webcam. Premiere Rush seems designed for mobile devices. I can't even find a way to capture video from the desktop app. Likewise Premiere Pro doesn't seem to offer that functionality. Does anyone know of a way it can be done from within the Adobe Suite?

Thanks, but never mind. I updated to a new version of PR and the motion graphics problem was fixed. Cheers.
