I do have both discs for Mac and Windows By @animenigma   You might have discs but they're freely available and will only give you up to a 30 day free trial period after which you must enter a valid serial number.   But do you have separate 24-digit serial numbers: one for Mac and one for Windows? Creative Suite licenses were sold on an operating system basis: Mac only or PC only. If you already have a Mac version registered then that suggests your CS6 is Mac only.   To get a Windows version you would have had to pay separately for a Windows license (or apply for a cross-platform switch, a process which was discontinued many years ago).   Can you confirm if you bought a Mac version of CS6? @LaSalamander Unfortunately, the suggestions in this thread, including Prodesigntools, no longer apply.   Adobe removed all download links to older versions in the last 18 months or so. We all now only have access to the current version and the major version immediately prior to that one.   For many years, the old Prodesigntools site used to be a fabulous resource for downloading older versions but, sadly, no longer applies. hopefully they will eventually provide equally great help for a fairly complex program.   They used to provide detailed PDFs with boxed DVD software in the heady days of useful Help docs. That was many years ago. I can only assume that those PDFs were very expensive to produce, were rapidly outdated when new and improved features were introduced and few people referred to them.   Since we've gone to the Cloud and SaaS, useful help has disappeared. my current catalog which is about 2 yrs old is at about 600mb.  What is the max size for lr catalogs before things start slowing down? A 600MB catalog over 2 years is quite manageable for Lightroom Classic and should perform well for many years.   Many people operate with hundreds of thousands of images in their catalogs with no issues.   Adobe's main advice over the years is to stick to one catalog unless you have very specific workflow needs. There is no need to split catalogs for performance reasons.
