Kyle T. Webster brushes.... I just set up a new computer & figured I'd load a few brush sets to try them out. The ones featured here don't seem to import, as I get an error saying they're not compatible. Anyone else having this issue? Are there versions of these/other "official" brushes elsewhere? thanks

Thanks @Rob @FRIdNGE I looked a bit closer at the book and indeed kind of found this solution, for example: Find Step:(?=\S) Replace Step:_ (that's just a space, not an underscore.) @FRIdNGE , this seems to work, but is there an advantage to using $0? I think you're maybe just referring to the find result?

Thanks James. Just set up a new computer... being lazy about installing 🙂 But will do so. That said, the Google doc is what's exporting the bookmark (Tab) so I'm not sure how that will be interpreted by Word yet. I can remove the references in ID, but the symbol remains until I delete it.

I have a doc full of text without spaces after colons, e.g. "Next Step:Organize Tools." I want to add a space after the colon. Terms like "Next Step" appear regularly throughout, and are easy to find; additionally, there are URLs in which I don't want to add space after a colon. - - - So, I can search for "Step:\S" which finds the colons, but it also selects the next letter, e.g. "Next Step:Organize Tools." - - - How do we tell GREP to NOT select the next character, and simply add a space after the colon? FWIW I have the GREP in InDesign book, but don't know what this function is called & couldn't find it... Thanks!

I'm exporting a Google Doc to Word, then importing it. There are bookmarks in the Google Doc, and appear as shown here. (The symbol that looks like a colon.) I'd like to eliminate them. However, I can't do a find/replace for them... I can delete them individually, though. Copying and pasting to Find doesn't show any results. Any idea how to do this? Thanks

Thanks all - this may help; essentially, what I need are text frames so that I can use any/all "standard stuff" I'd normally use when working with them, including various styles within. The frames will contain a long continuous document which needs to flow normally as well, including into and through frames with multiple columns. I don't think any of the current suggestions would allow me to lay this out seamlessly. Obviously, it would be great if we could designate this like we can with a table cell... 🙂

OSX 13.7.1. I don't use Bridge much, but wanted to check a few things out this morning & found that both 2024 and 2025 are crashing when starting up. It looks like it's doing so just before loading images or the rest of the interface or something. 2024 asked me if I wanted to add two scripts this morning, which I did; when that wouldn't start up, I installed 2025, which has the same problem, so wondering if something in those two scripts did it. That said, I can't find the startup scripts. Unfortunately the Adobe article I saw only showed how to activate/deactivate them from within Bridge. Any help appreciated!

On the very last page of a book, I have a stand-alone, otherwise empty text box in a document. It has an endnote icon. When I delete it, I get a warning saying "This operation will also delete the corresponding endnote references." If I convert it to a footnote, it says "Successfully converted 0 Endnote to Footnote." There were originally some endnotes imported from Word, but were converted to static text. I don't know how to find whatever in the text is causing the "endnote." Any idea how to troubleshoot this? TIA

At the end of my document, I have a page with "Endnotes" on it. However, there are no endnotes, and shouldn't be.
When I want to delete it (really, when I want to delete its paragraph marker" I get a notice saying it will delete the corresponding references.
Is there any way to find the location of the marker it's referencing?
My goal is to delete this page, as my endnotes are consolidated within the story.

I'm working on a volume with LOTS of changes, and would like to work in a text-only-ish environment. However, it seems the only zoomable view is Layout, which defeats the purpose. I think I'm just missing it, but how do we zoom (or just make the type larger) in the Galley and Story views? thanks!
