Could we have a big fat chunky scroll bar for the fonts list in the CC app as per other pages in the app please. Havent got one, using a wacom tablet. Using the Wheel on the tablet does bring up the scroll bar as you suggest which I can sort of grab with pen and move but its still broken as the scroll bar disappears while dragging it ,it is significantly differant from the behaviour of other pages in the app where it it possible to grab the scroll bar.

Im exporting a file to a USB sick, if I plug the usb stick in while the export dialogue is open the import window is trying to open and causes lightroom to become unresponsive. I realise that you can turn off the "show import dialogue when card inserted" in the prefs, and this will prevent the issue, but feel that it needs to be made so that the import dialogue cant launch while you have the export dialogue open. I dont remember this happening in previous versions bar the last couple . Same here,tried everything mentioned on this thread, only a clean install of Windows (and upgrade to 11) seems to have fixed it for me........so far.. Not getting too excited though, will wait until the next photoshop update, see if that breaks it again.

Dont do it, youll be bored senseless, what you going to do instead of posting to forums, deleting preferances, downloading the latest GPU driver, watching the 100MB download bar of software that still has the same issuses included as when it was in Beta. The anticipation and excitement of whats going and not going to work after each new version. Youll miss out on all that! Might have to some photography or photo editing to fill the your new free time. Seriously, I think the AI will kill photoshop, I find I use third party software more and more now. The Adobe software doesnt feel like a tool anymore, its more like a hobby to keep it working.

@mrmixit_hotmail Yes I had that happen as well at one stage. Think I just uninstalled and installed older version to fix, as stated above by Tjeer66 the Beta version 26 seems to work OK for text. I wonder if they have fixed something in the Beta or its just the creatiion of new/differant cache folders that fixing it.

Yeah, I use third party anti virus and thought defender was diasbled as well. not sure if both were running at the same time causing issue. Even unistalled the third party antivirus as I suspect it was the issue, but windows defender kicks in as soon as you uninstall the third party one.

Does disabling "real time protection" in windows defender make a differance? Been having similar issues when importing recently that seems to have cured mine.

Had similar recently, tried lots of things, think it was restarting the PC after uninstall of lightroom and after reinstall that cured it. Then when opening your catalogue make sure check integrity is checked.

So out of 215,000 photos 175,000 are listed as previous process version, is there any performance penalty for not updating these ?.

Follow advice in GlodingDs links on this thread for reinstalling with regards to restart of PC during process. Then let it create a new catolouge in a differant location to you present one(might want to copy that and back it up somewhere else just in case before you start). Then once installed hope that you can open your current catalogue and let it test the integrity of the catalogue when you do so. Not sure why these threads have both be dismissed as discussions rather than bugs as I think there is an issue here that needs investigating.

@Bobby Henderson How do you find launching apps from inside CC desktop with the wacom tablet, I find it very hit and miss. Im sort of tapping away at the icon trying to launch photoshop not sure if its starting or not. Mine seems very undefined where I need to tap/click on the program icon to launch anything and sluggish when it finally does start.

Just ran the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, that hasnt cured the issue. Some official guidance from Adobe on this would be nice, are they aware of this issue?

Had same issue here, reseting the CC desktop app brings back the scroll bar, but cant grab the scroll bar to navigate up and down. It grabs the list of fonts rather than the scroll bar so if I move cursor down thinking Ive got the scroll bar the list goes down rather than up as I was expecting. Also having opened up my web browser to write this when I go back to the CC desktop app scroll bar is gone again while CC was minimized or not the front most wndow on my desktop.

Been waiting for lightroom to restart during the catalogue optimisation process for about 10 mins now. Looking at task manager lightroom is still very active in background and accessing one of my HDDs. See below. What is it doing? The HDD being read is just where photos are stored, catalogue is on a seperate ssd (L) which back ups are written to as well . Is it safe to shut down the PC during the period Im waiting for lightroom to relaunch itself? If this is normal behaviour?, shouldnt there be some indication that the programe is still active in the background during this phase of the process?

Went all the way back to Nvidia driver 472.84 and the lag has gone so far! So pretty sure its a GPU driver issue that was causing the lag. Would that effect the succesfull optimization of the catalogue? @dj_paige yes thanks. First thing I did was clean install of latest Nvidia driver, that had no effect on lag. After being unable to launch I did try restart after uninstalling, although I thought that died a death with XP. Think I did try restarting twice as per instructions in your first link but will be more methodical next time. Did try deleting preferances aswell, also deleted previews. .Think first time I had to load a back up of the catalogue to get it going. Installing the 472 series Nvidia driver brought back near instant responsiveness, even with it having to rebuild the previews that I deleted so think the gpu is up to the task for a few more years and wont be buying a 40 series until the sort out the power connectors!

Ive found printing from lightroom increasingly frustrating in recent months too, I have to go to page set up then click on the printer preferances to get it to print each time, dont change any settings just access the printer prefernces then it will print. (Windows 10, Epson9900, three DNP and a kyocera laser jet)

Trying to fix (Lightroom not responding), very laggy in general even accessing preferances comes up with not responding for a few seconds. Have had the following happen a couple of times in recent months, when optomising the catalogue to try and fix above issue, lightroom quits and then doesnt restart. From this point cant launch lightroom at all. Uninstalling lightroom is prevented by multiple lightroom processes running processes in task manager Winows 10.
