This would be a PIA on an existing project, but I start all my user variables with "1_". That puts them all at the top.
I believe Silicon Prairie Software's Variable plugin allows for batch renaming based on a table.

I periodically open all the TCS programs separately and check for updates under the Help menu.
Also, you won't automatically download new major versions. I usually download the trial version and install myself. Once you sign in, it's no long a trial. The only downside on this is that you can expect a call and email from Adobe sales...

This is a common "glitch" with imported MS Word docs. No matter how clean the style usage is and the mapping is, there are always overrides. Unfortunately, Google Docs does not support Character Styles like MS Word does.
As @Robert at ID-Tasker said, you will lose all local formatting that way. To fix that, BEFORE you remove local formatting, create the Character styles in InDesign, use Find/Change to search for your local formatting and apply the appropriate character style. Then remove all overrides.

Are there any pixel graphics in the AutoCAD file, such as a logo?
Try using the Acrobat Pro File>Create menu and select the DWF file.
(PDFs have supported larger page sizes since version 7.)

Here is an example of a button that shows a hidden, read-only text field (popup) and a checkbox. Clicking the checkbox hides itself and the popup. It would require the free Acrobat reader; will not work in Preview or most browsers. It did work in Chrome with Acrobat extension.

Here's what I've done in the past...
Create a image frame, format with Frame Fitting Options, and create an Object Style.
Add captions for the images in the XMP area in Adobe Bridge. (Good job for an editor with a free version of Creative Cloud.)
Create a text variable linked to the XMP caption.
Create a text frame and insert the text variable.
When the frame touches the image frame, the variable will show up. (I used text frame insets to move the text away from the image edge.)
I added an empty image frame and text frame with the variable to an InDesign library.
Just dragged it out when needed.
You can do something similar: add the captions in Bridge, create the variable, and create the text frame with variable. Alt/Opt drag copies as needed.

That's not the steps I said. The standalone Acrobat program is for standalone Acrobat subscriptions.
I said to install the Creative Cloud app and install Acrobat through IT.

It doesn't say Acrobat PRO--just Acrobat. If you only have a free CC subscription, you only get Reader; if you have a paid subscription, you have Pro.

Sign into the Creative Cloud app on your computer.
However, I would run the CC Cleaner app and have it uninstall EVERYTHING.
Then download the Creative Cloud app fresh.
Log into that.
Then download the software as needed.

You don't have a paid Creative Cloud subscription or you haven't logged in. If you did, the buttons would say "Free Trial" but either Install or Open.

No you don't. I have two Creative Cloud subscriptions that include Acrobat Pro. I've been using the Creative Cloud since 2013. I know what I'm talking about.
Did you run the Adobe CC Cleaner app? If not, you haven't done everything I suggested.

You need to triple click and select the ENTIRE paragraph including the end symbol.
In your screen capture, you don't have the paragraph symbol selected.

Click on the little gear icon on the catalog. I suspect the styles are being filtered. You should see a default paragraph font setting at top.

Both Mac and Windows have a maximum path length of 255 characters, but your name is only 91 spaces long. So unless your path name is strangely long, that should not be the problem. (Although I would shorten just for readability's sake.)
For example, on Windows, a path name would be:
C\Users\<UserName>\Desktop\Importance of Comprehensive Eye Examinations for Adults and Children Postcard Reminder V1.2.indd. It would be similar on a Mac but using regular slashes and no "C:".
Periods in file names have been allowed for sometime now, but I still tend to avoid them. I stick with just underscores (_) and hyphens (-).
Depending on your OS and work environment, it might be a permissions issue.
