Hi @DaveH5 Could you let us know which version of the Creative Cloud Desktop app brought your Muse back to life? Thanks and best regards.

@T-berry : If I understood the sequence of steps you described correctly, it seems you might have made a mistake—possibly due to my lack of clarity. What I meant was the following sequence of steps 1. Uninstallation (ideally of everything—personally, I recommend using a removable Boot-HD for this. I'll skip detailing the uninstallation steps as they should be self-explanatory). 2. Installation of the OS (Windows 10). 3. Download and installation of the older version of the Adobe Creative Cloud Application I mentioned. 4. Download Adobe Muse (I recommend the last version from 2017). 5. At this point—or earlier if necessary—log into your Adobe account. 6. Disconnect your PC from the internet. 7. This is critical! Only at this point should you install Adobe Muse. 8. Enjoy stress-free work with the program they are trying to take away from us at all costs. Frankly, I don’t understand the amount of effort, resources, and force being used just to make life difficult for Muse users. It’s puzzling. As the saying goes: if you don’t know what it’s about, it’s probably about money. Perhaps it’s related to the licensing fees Adobe had to/must pay to Google for the Google Maps widget? Although they removed the widget in the 2018 version, earlier versions still have it... Or maybe it’s something else? Perhaps the existence of Muse created fierce competition from semi-professionals producing semi-professional products, i.e., websites? This could have taken a significant portion of clients away from large web agencies, particularly those for whom price was a deciding factor. Muse users, perhaps unknowingly, applied dumping prices to the market, indirectly causing a “seismic shift” in an industry that is critical to Adobe’s revenue. Who knows...

I’m not claiming that rolling back to Windows 10 to use Muse is the only option. I’ve provided a solution that works. Your described issue ("Adobe Application Manager is missing or damaged") suggests that my solution might be the only one working longer than the 2-3 days you mentioned. I’m afraid Windows 11 may have left some sort of backdoor for "not-so-friendly-to-us Adobe developers," allowing them to remotely disable Adobe Muse’s functionality permanently, often by triggering the "7-day trial" mode. Hang in there!

You're very welcome! I'm glad to hear you managed to get things running, even if it's just a trial for now. Here's a way to find a long-term solution: Install the older version of Adobe CC. In the Adobe CC settings, disable the option for automatic updates. 2b. Sign in to your Adobe account using your Adobe ID (only if you have a full subscription). 3. Install Muse while your PC is offline (disconnected from the internet). 3a. If Muse complains about being offline during installation, reconnect the PC to the internet briefly, but only as long as necessary—trial and error might be needed here. Feel free to keep us updated—I'm rooting for you!

Honestly, this doesn’t make any sense—at least not in your case. If you’ve been paying for the full Creative Cloud subscription (as I have), primarily to use Adobe Muse, then Adobe’s explanation that they’ve "stopped further development and updates for Muse" cannot possibly justify downgrading the program from a full version to a 7-day trial. This is simply unacceptable if we’re to take Adobe as a serious and customer-focused company. Imagine an alternative scenario: you lease a business car (because you need it for work and income), and suddenly the car dealer/leasing provider tells you, “Stop! We’re taking the car away because the manufacturer stopped producing it. But please continue paying the installments, since you can still use the garage (‘Adobe Cloud 100GB’), the winter tires (‘Photoshop’), the air pump (‘Lightroom’), and other accessories. Oh, and you can use the car (‘Muse’) for another 7 days.” Seriously, what are we even talking about here?! This is monopolistic capitalist behavior at its finest, stealing your/my/others' tools of trade (which in many cases kept us afloat) while looking you in the eye, like a shady cloakroom attendant in a dodgy bar, and saying: “I don’t have your coat! So what are you going to do about it?” As for you, @T-berry (schönen Gruß aus HH), and your efforts to resurrect Muse, here’s my advice: roll back to an earlier version of Windows (e.g., from 11 to 10) and an older version of Adobe Creative Cloud (6.0.0.571 or earlier). Here’s the link for that CC Version 6.0.0.571: For both Win 10 64-bit (below 1903 or later) Most importantly—do not allow CC to update. The safest bet is to use Muse offline, restricted to intranet use only. Good luck, because I know firsthand what kind of battle you’re fighting and the situation you’re in. While my Muse 2017 version still works after jumping through countless hoops, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m navigating a minefield. Fingers crossed not just for you. Wishing all of you the very best!

Hi JamesAtLetsDoIt 🖐️ I’m not sure if you’ve received a response from Carla. Regarding your main question, I regret to share some information I’ve received from reliable sources: Adobe XD is heading nowhere. It’s the end. I’m aware that your post is already over two years old, and certainly, much (if not everything) has changed since then. However, since you’ve dedicated your valuable time to mastering XD, I feel obliged to share what I know about its current situation. Although it’s possible that you might already be aware of what I’m about to say. Adobe is following the same path with XD as it did with Muse. Soon, we’ll likely hear that this product has been labeled with the familiar “End of Life” (EOL) tag. For those of us who were painfully affected by Adobe’s decision to discontinue Muse, this term is all too familiar. I’m sorry if I’m the first person to inform you of this. P.S. At 66, I’m still searching for a program to replace Muse. At my age, the ability to absorb new knowledge has significantly diminished, which means the learning curve that might seem like a "hill" to others is, for me (as in the case of Pinegrow, whose subscription I’ve had for four days), more like climbing Annapurna. Best regards, anber

Yes. Unfortunately, I'm certain. I previously checked if I already had the latest version of the ACC Client App you mentioned (which is 6.2.0.554) before reinstalling Muse and restarting the system. And again, I saw what I saw before, which is 'Sign in to start your 7-day trial' (even though my account name, which I've been using with Adobe for 12 years, was displayed in this 'invitation' -> I was signed in).

It seems that the problem has not been solved, not just with you. In my second attempt today: re-Installation did not yield the expected results. Win 11 Home and Win 10 Pro. Unfortunately. Despite the costs of the full subscription (by the way, mainly because of Muse), is the only way out supposed to be the 'Black Market'? Oh, the irony!

@Sab230949878zzp , @kglad and all others Muse-Patriots 😉 Don't give up! The tragic situation some of us are facing, thanks to a corporation named Adobe, brings some of us to tears. Others find it hard to sleep, fueled by the hope that a solution is within reach. Right around the corner... Such is the information I stumbled upon on YouTube. It's about Photoshop, but the way the problem was tackled seems effective for Muse as well. However, I must admit I haven't had a chance to test it yet. Sharing with you all as quickly as possible... and keeping my fingers crossed that the solution I provide will alleviate the pain for at least a significant portion of those affected by Adobe's arrogance. Below is the mentioned YT-Link. Be sure to also read the comments and all Q&A! YT-Link

No change. It doesn't change anything. Next to the License Utility, a countdown number appears in parentheses, indicating which attempt to start Muse it is.

Of course, that was the first thing I thought of. Unfortunately, each time I started Muse it reactivated the License Utility.

I see. I really regret that I can't count myself among them. // Maybe the following information will help you. When I try to start Adobe Muse, in 'Task-Manager -> Background Processes', next to Muse, Adobe License Utility (32-bit), Adobe Application Manager and Console Window Host are started. I tried using Adobe Licensing Toolkit -> License Repair Tool (LicenseRecovery109 -> LicenseRecover.exe), but to no avail. I was surprised that when I started another Adobe program - License Utility was not activated in Task Manager. The Toolkit I used was definitely the wrong one (Creative Suite 5-5 and older). I haven't found a newer Toolkit or access to the 'Adobe Admin Console'. Perhaps my steps have paved the way for your ingenuity.

@kglad Why do you recommend Sab230949878zzp to delete the registry of one of the two sub-keys? I looked into mine and found only one sub-key at the address you provided. The one you mentioned: {018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}

"adobeipcbroker" -> I tried yesterday as well (Windows). Without success. Tomorrow I'll have to start a 1x trial to upload two major updates for the client's project. Then I'll be setting up 7-day accounts. Unfortunately, I have to upload updates (texts, photos) every week. Maybe in the meantime, a solution will be found? // I talked to the local (German) support today. As expected... // Stress eating me alive. With age, I become less and less resilient.

Since Muse stopped working for me from today (April 28, 2024), I'm interested in your current situation with Muse. Has anything changed for the better for you regarding Muse? A new option has activated for me this time. This time it's about a 7-day trial (which of course I didn't start). I wouldn't mind if they were able to extend this 7-day trial to an 'infinity' mode 😉

Hi kglad, thank you very much for your prompt feedback. My Muse stopped launching today on both PCs (Win 10 Pro & Win 11 Home). On one, it flashes for a second, and on the other, it demands a license, or alternatively, I can start a 7-day trial. I've been using the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite for years, but it seems that Adobe Creative Cloud doesn't want to acknowledge this fact. Honestly, I pay for the full subscription mainly because of Adobe Muse, which I've been using for years for my large, regular client. I tried your tip of renaming the 'AdobeIPCBroker.exe' file on both PCs. Unfortunately, it didn't work on either. I'm currently in a "black hole" because I was just about to upload another weekly update for my client's project, and an hour ago, it turned out that it's not possible. Quietly (but only quietly), I hope that maybe you can still pull a rabbit out of a hat, and the disaster will be avoided. Best regards.
