I work around this by setting every bin to open in a new tab. Set the tab once to list view (or which ever view you want that bin in), and as long as it stays open, it'll stay in that view. Means lots of tabs, but saves the irritation and keeps bins in the last view set. Swap between your open bins using the tab pull-down menu.

Had this too. For some reason the latest beta sets the master fader volume to ∞. On every sequence. You will have to go through and change every one back to 0db.

There seems to be a bug in recent betas of Prem that will slow timeline navigation to a crawl when 'Show Duplicate Frame Markers' is enabled. This happens to me when the timeline is at a wide zoom and the squence is complex. I have been using MultiCam sequences with multi-track waveform audio files. Interestingly, if I delete the multi-track audio tracks in my sequence the slowness dissappears. I have tried converting the audio to various different formats and the problem persists. The issue is lessened at a narrow timeline zoom. I am currently using Version 24.1.0 BETA (Build 38) on an M1 Max MacBook Pro 64GB. This has been happening for the last couple of weeks on every daily build of the beta.

Try disabling 'Show Duplicate Frame Markers'. There seems to be a bug in the recent releases that will slow timeline navigation to a crawl with complex sequences when this is enabled. This fixed that problem for me.

Just to add, It doesnt matter if I'm running Prem natively on ARM or via Rosetta2. The problem remains.

HI, This is still going on. Beta and release versions leak memory like mad. Yesterday Premiere Pro was using 152GB of memory. Opening a project the memory will start relatively low, around 6GB, but will slowly creep up 'till eventually the 'out of memory' pop-up appears. This happens on my machine (M1 Max Macbook Pro 64GB RAM, OS 12.0.1) at around 70GB or so usage. I can continue working until the dialog is reporting around 170GB at which point Prem begins to freeze. My project is shot on the Amira at 4K 4444, footage is proxied and it's playing back multi-camera. The takes can be long, around 10 mins. I didn't seem to have this problem last week with proxied RED footage - much shorter clips, but higher res.

There is, but on an M1 mac it only lists universal betas. No intel betas.

How is it possible to install the Intel betas of AE and ME on an M1 Mac? I don't see them listed in the beta section of the CC app.

Reverted the app back to 14.3.2 and it seems to work as expected. There also seems to be a bug with SED on longer clips. Will often cause a crash. Still pinning down the exact circumsances.

Also, I also work with 2 timelines up as you do here. Do you find you have the problem with only a single timeline displayed?

Did you ever find an answer to this? I am in the same boat, get this problem from time to time and can't shift it. It's usually when doing my initial pulls - it seems to quiet down the shorter my clips become. I to use BMD hardware so maybe it's related. I'm about to move my current project that is having this issue to a suite that uses AJA hardware. I'll report back if the problem disappears. Have you contacted Blackmagic about this? What versions of PPro and BMD drivers are you using?

This is my favourite bug ever. It makes no sense. There was I networking my workstation to a laptop, "because it seemed to work on there". Thanks for posting.

If you still have FCP7, import the files (with folder structure) into a clean project, export an XML of the project and import into PPro. Much quicker than a slow AE import if you have a lot of camera rushes. P.x
