Autocorrect is too aggressive when renaming or changing metadata fields when they need to be individual, ie the Scene input field or the Caption input field

When you move a folder in Lightroom, the interface resets and scrolls back to the top. This can be particularly frustrating when dealing with a long list of files, such as archiving folders on a server.
Secondary Display panel will randomly close by itself when switching between modules of Develop and Library. This is quite consistend.
Right Click > Edit in PS only works sometimes with large TIFFs. Usually It’ll say “Syncing Metadata” then do nothing. One has to do this a few times.

With Publish Services, when you publish a virtual copy of a photo (and also remove the original photo from the collection), it uploads first and then gets deleted immediately. This means no photo actually gets published. If the delete process happens before the upload process, the virtual photo would be published correctly.
White UI elements in a dark scheme in the year 2024/2025. It’s not great to get flash banged at night when working on photos.
Editing in Photoshop will create a .TIF but Photoshop, if you save as, will create a .TIFF and LR won’t pick it up until you sync. A little consistency would be good
Changing color profile (sometimes) doesn’t work first time, needs two clicks
Sliders often don’t work properly (See attached screen recording)
Sometimes when a TIFF updates outside LRc, the color labels and or flags will be lost and reset. I've lost money due to this one over the years as I use labels to keep a track of photos issued to clients

Because PS lags with 500MB TIFFs, when using the remove tool if you press enter twice before it completes the operation PS will complete the remove, then throw up an error saying "there was a program error", deletes what it created and gets the user to do it all over again

As a workaround, the fastest way is to right click, in Lightroom, and hit "show in finder". When Finder opens up, then hit Open in Photoshop and it'll open straight away. macOS never bugs out, never "saves to metadata" which is ridiculous for 1gb TIFFs everytime. It's an annoying workaround but it's the best way because the bridge and roundtripping from LR to PS is broken

6 years later and this bug still exists. For me, Edit in PS either does three things 1) nothing at all 2) "saving metadata"...then nothing at all 3) actually opens in PS 1 and 2 happen over 50% of the time. Usually i have to try the command several times. I think this bug has always existed

I'm on a Mac as well and have noticed significant lag (using LR for like well over 10 years now) and this is the worst I've seen it. It's not minutes for me, but like it takes 10-20 seconds to change removal tools and draw masks. On an M1 Max 64GB so it shouldn't be this bad

Same, I agree It cant do contact sheets properly It can't manage metadata properly (there's a bug that's existed since the beggining in removing certain metadata) It can't do ACR properly once you add a layer to a TIFF The catalog is terribly slow and not as flexible as compared to something like NeoFinder I do like the fancy image review mode though, wish LR had it but there's really no point to Bridge I can see

Except with Bridge you lose the ability of using Adobe Camera RAW once. you edit the TIF, with a layer for example. versus Lightroom which is 100% non destructive. A bit of a pain manually adding in a Camera Raw smart layer I've found in PS.

For over a decade this bug has existed... In Lightroom, select a large TIFF > edit in > edit in Photoshop Lightroom just sits there "Saving Metadata" Any chance this can be fixed after a decade+?

Whats the point of adding in all this AI stuff if eyedropper tool doesn't even work? Nothing seems to work on a mac, I have to use native mac eyedropper tools to get the correct colours as PS can't do it

Incredible to think this "problem" doesn't happen with other editors, like Affinity Photo. Opening CR2 or CR3 files works flawlessly from a NAS on an M1. Yet somehow for users here and Adobe engineers, it's the fault of Apple? Very poor this bug is not fixed

There is a bug, it's to do with exporting on macOS to an on demand synced drive (aka onedrive or google drive where the file is cahced on the OS). The bug was introduced with the latest version of Lightroom. Going back .1 version fixes the issue.

Not sure t's a problem with my computer.... If so, strange it only affects 13.1+and not any other version of lightroom older than 13.0. Common logic would say a change was made on Adobe's end. The fix is to stay with 13 and ignore updates cause all it does is break worfklows

Of course it's not possible to submit a bug directly to Adobe. But just in case no one noticed, there is a bug with exporting under macOs and Lightroom Classic. "There was an error opening the file"... reverting back to 13 is the ONLY fix.

When using Lightroom > Opening an image in Photoshop Beta no longer works Open as Layers, Edit in Photoshop etc...etc... I believe this is a Photoshop Beta bug as the Beta updated to 25 which is when the break occured. Previous versions of Photoshop Beta are fine.
