Hi. Latest Ppro (25.1.0) The solution technically works, but man it's quite clunky. Now my main captions are in the captions layer, and my alternate speaker captions are in a video layer as a graphic above my effects layers. It works but it feels off. If I ever have to revisit it to adjust grammar for reverts, now those captions are not available for updating using the TEXT panel, nor are they searchable anymore. Additionally, once I duplicate my sequence to make mobile 9x16 cuts, I will have to scale those text layers separately in an extra step, instead of having it all accessible via the properties panel. It works for now, it's a really clunky workaround, but thanks.

I have 2 subtitle styles, red/white for main speaker, yellow/black for others.
When I select all the ALTERNATE speakers and select the YELLOW track style, it changes EVERY caption style on the sub.
The only way to change all the ALTERNATE SPEAKER captions to yellow is to select them all, and manually change fill (copy hex code, paste), manually change background (copy hex code, paste) and repeat for subsequent videos.
Surely there is an easier way? Even a singular copy paste? Reminder: Changing the track style once, change it for all captions. Edit: I tried using 2 tracks, one with red track style for main, one with yellow track style for alt speakers, however PPro only allows one to be visible. Toggling visibilty on one, turns it off for the other.

Thanks but no luck... So a case example... Shift 10 frames up is ALT + SHIFT + PG UP I tried the following: ALT + SHIFT + PG UP (Num lock off) ALT + SHIFT + PG UP (Num lock on) ALT + SHIFT + PG UP (Num lock off + FN key) ALT + SHIFT + PG UP (Num lock on + FN key) Nada... any ideas? Prefer to get this working so that I don't have to reassign all the other relative shortcuts

I have tried every combo with my Dell Precision 3551 - usually on a USB keyboard I can easily shift frames with ALT+PG UP or maybe ALT+SHIFT+PG UP I forget. But on laptop keyboard, there is no way, I tried using the FN key, I tried with num lock on/off and with FN key, is there a workaround? Same with the simple SHIFT+PG UP to move 10 frames... no luck.

I have a SATA SSD and a SATA/USB adaptor. Advisable to use it via USB3.0 for scratch disk in AE/PPro - or is it perhaps better used as a drive for projects, as the projects are currently on the same NVME (faster) drive as OS/Apps. PS missing that tweakers page from way back

@Michael Grenadier thanks however this would cause me to reach my Adobe Cloud storage limit much quicker and it also adds an additional large audio+video file to mix, especially if the source video is perfectly compressed to begin with. It's also not an intuitive solution I or others would think of when the situation arises. Sources vary but mostly are screen recordings. Appreciate your input.

Current Challenge: I often face this situation: A 20-minute MP4 video is edited down to a 1-minute final cut. Later, the sound designer provides a cleaned and enhanced 20-minute WAV file. (Using the full 20-minute audio is preferable as it enables future re-edits without requiring the sound designer again.) Current Solutions: Re-edit the video with the new audio file from scratch. Unrealistic and time-consuming. Re-export the source video as ProRes with the new WAV file, then replace footage. Cumbersome and error-prone. Duplicate sequence with media, replace the video file with the new audio file to retain cuts, and copy-paste the updated edits into your original timeline for seamless audio replacement. Cumbersome and time-consuming Proposed Solution #3. Synchronize feature that allows you to synchronize: Allow the Synchronize feature to be intelligent enough to see that the selected new audio file matches segments from the existing edited timeline, and so it simply cuts according to the edited target, thus matching all waveforms up, and thereby synchronizing (PluralEyes- now discontinued, used to do this)

Cumbersome and time-consuming Proposed Solution #2. Replace Audio Only Feature: Introduce a feature similar to "Replace Footage," but for audio only. The replacement would require the new audio to match the duration of the original (20 minutes in this case) to ensure compatibility. These features would save time, reduce errors, and streamline the workflow for video editors working with external audio files that are received later - or also for cases where the edit gets complete before Adobe Podcast completes uploading/processing audio

Cumbersome and time-consuming Proposed Solution #1. Drag-and-Replace Matching Audio: Allow users to Alt-drag the full 20-minute WAV file over the existing edited audio cuts. Premiere Pro would replace the audio seamlessly, maintaining the edited in-and-out points, instead of resetting to the beginning of the 20-minute file per cut.

Thanks @Peru Bob looks like this is the only workaround but it is quite a cumbersome one at that. It would be great to have the option to alt-drag replace while maintining timecode/part that was cut, or at least a better solution

EDIT: Feature request please upvote: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-ideas/precise-audio-replacement-without-resetting-edits/idi-p/15016141 I have a 20 min video that has been edited with many cuts down to 1 min. I then have a new enhanced audio that comes in later, however it's the full 20 min and did not make it into the edit during the editing process. This is so that re-edits that can be made later to include new segments with enhanced audio ready to go. This workflow repeats due to various reasons - in this event, how can one replace the audio? I have tried: - Alt Dragging the 20min enhanced audio onto the edited audio cuts in the 1min, however they all start from 0, instead of aligning timecodes - Right click -- Synchronize, which is greyed out - Replace with clip - from bin - same result as Alt dragging. Other than previous workflow modifications, is there a solution for this circumstance? I'm not looking on ways to prevent this, I know them, I'm looking for ways around it

Enhance speech V2 is now available online. My question to Adobe, is the enhanced speech in Premiere Pro's Essential Sound panel using V1 or V2? This will help determine my workflow. Thanks.

That's correct, new artboard does work, but after the top row is full, duplicate artboard will never work again. This means if you plan to have more than 7 HD scenes for an animation, in one file for a centralized workflow, the duplicate button is good for 6 pushes.

But this limits 7x standard 1920x1080 boards, surely it's normal to need more than 7 boards, while maintaining a basic app function like duplicate?

This is a terrible bug - where no more artboards can be duplicated, after a row of 7 fill the horizonal width of the canvas. Even though there is plenty space remaining, AI won't leave a line-break so to speak and start from there, instead somehow it thinks "no more space on right - ERROR" (all bottom row arboards were made manually by alt dragging, just for context) Also I tried to duplicate the ones on a new line, situated to the left, hoping it would continue to duplicate to the right, but I just get the error. For context I am using the Duplicate Artboard menu item on the Artboard panel
