Hi, last update from Adobe to Rush was in 2021. No features has been added. But the sync feature has been terminated. I'm wondering if Rush will suffer a silent death by Adobe. Or by engulfed by Adobe Express.
I'm starting to look around for similar apps with similar simplicity that is working both on a Mac and PC environment.
What do U think? Has Rush become a burning platform?

While the last major release for Adobe Rush 2.0 was November 2021, the most recent dot update (2.10) was last July.
Adobe Rush (Beta) 2.5 is available to test features and fixes in development.

Well, I see no future for Rush anymore and will change video app for my courses for journalists to CapCut. Seems to be the best simple alternativ where you can grow without migrating to larger software.

Project Violet is worth looking at, but if they're going into broadcast journalism wouldn't Media Composer or Premiere Pro be the leading choices?

Sorry for the extreme late answer. It would say no. I have now testet CapCut and are impressed. You get a lot of value for money here. Easy flow, easy micro animation, cool transitions and plenty of bling bling. And you can put a brand package into it! So, it's a premanent bye bye to Rush.
I did tjeck out project violet app. But it's just so far behind. Premiere Pro demads loads of administration and havent got a easy workflow for transitions and effects. It's simply build for big boy movies.

There’s definitely something to be said for ease of use—especially when you’re a one-person team juggling multiple roles in post-production.
That said, I don’t see how anyone can seriously rely on CapCut, given that using their cloud services means granting them a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sublicensable license. That gives CapCut and its affiliates the right to use, modify, distribute, monetize—even sell or sublicense—your content without notice or compensation.
That leaves us with tools like Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro, all of which respect your ownership and don’t claim rights over your work.
While Media Composer and Premiere Pro are often associated with high-end film and TV, they’re more than capable for a wide range of content. If anything, they may be a bit too tethered to the desktop. It would be great to see their full power better leveraged on mobile devices or the web.
