Question

One Premiere Forum for everything? Isn't that a bit to big ?

Hey,

I would like to start a discussion

Why is there only one Premiere Pro Forum for everything and every language?

To me this makes no sense?

At least we could have like:

english

spanisch

chinese

as main languages.

What about sorting

Mac

Pc

out , that would help a lot! I don´t have the same problems than someone with a dell computer and windows 10, or do I ?

Then there are different tasks

101 for people that are new

Editing

Effects/Graphics

Audio

CC

Sorting by purpose

Image Video

Social Media

Documentary

Music Videos

Multicam Productions

Live

There are people that edit film in premiere

mabe its nice to have this sorted because it demands different skills and workflows

And maybe the people that collaborate with other people are the next group

that has special needs (like TEAM USER )

I don´t know....

What about the other people here?

seems like a happy crowd.

How do you think about the look and feel of this forum, everything tutto ok ?

Can you find everything you are searching for?

Are you feeling lost?

Editing with a digital app is an endeavor.

I was a little stunt that there is only one forum for everything.

so I hope you are having fun with the editing process.

non linear editing is a cool invention, even when the forum is quite

a linear experience 😉

have fun and keep on cutting and sliping and sliding

hey I found this:

a place on the internet where people can leave messages or discuss particular subjects with other people at the same time:
Discussion forums are a way of contacting people with similar interests from all over the world.

I hope that I could bring a little fun in your life

and hope that there will be some new features in the forum software one day.

cheers and don´t panic and carry a towel

I, among others,  have requested the Quote feature be implemented.

Hey Bob,

very good!

the text editor is very limited.

one thing that is good!

we can upload picutres and videos

there are forums where this is impossible.

so a big thank you !

"i don't see a feature where sentences can be marked as quotes? "

I do it manually by copy and paste.

Hey Peru Bob,

yes you can do it by copy and paste.

But there are fourms where this "quote" feature is the standard!

In Mail (macos) it´s also the standard.

there is even a shortuct to increasse or decrease the "quotes".

And as this "thread" was meant to discuss the forum, I thought I mention this feature.

Maybe there are more people that like to use "quotes" with ease.

there are bullet points and number, why not quotes?

And if not, maybe there is an active decision why we should be protected against quotes.

If so, I am curios why.

thanx Bob

Pavl,
Think we need to give all constructive feedback here on User Voice.

Why is there only one Premiere Pro Forum for everything and every language?

I agree, that's a problem. We're working on that situation.

To me this makes no sense?

As a stopgap measure, we have the translate feature. It is not a solution, as I think you'd agree.

What about sorting by platform?

Perhaps that could be done in the future. In the near future, perhaps users could be incentivized to reveal system details in order to post.

Then there are different tasks: 101 for people that are new, Editing, Effects/Graphics, Audio, CC

Like a "How To" section? That's what tags could do, potentially. Right now we are using them to sort troubleshooting. I'll think about that and hope others can make suggestions.

Sorting by purpose:

Again, tagging is probably the way this could be treated.

I don´t know....
I and other forum vets are eager to see a lot of improvements. We just moved over to this new software and it is still not as fully features as what we previously had. Slowly, but surely, we'll get there. Thanks, in part, to the kinds of suggestions you are making, so thanks!

Right on and thanks for the chill notes. If you are in Germany, sorry I have to cancel my trip there.

I hope that I could bring a little fun in your life

Take care and thanks for writing. We in San Francisco are stuck at home for the next month!

Hey Kevin,

thanxs for the answers.

how can I comment on posts?
i don't see a feature where sentences can be marked as quotes?

does this exsist ?

The pandemic will be over one day. But tools for managing moving pictures will evolve.

i was very Lucky.
i saw my first avid composer @ university in 1993.

since the I use forums to get the best out of the apps I choose to work.

the only thing that drives me is, that I can feel that the product can be made better.
And I won't the perfect tool.

when I started there was no YouTube or forum!
i had to read 9 Books to manage "media illusion" from Avid.

so I am thankfully, that we can exchange here.

so I hope this inspires other people.

and I really miss the Quote section in this Forum.
thanxs

IMHO the base reason was they wanted to turn the one and only real support help forum into a Social Media site.

I digress, Sorry. Best of Luck.

When The Powers That Be changed this forum from the Jive platform to this (Korus?) back last fall, they "condensed" the forum list. Prior to that "we" users had different language areas and a few more options ... such as the SDK forum for those asking scripting questions.

I think there is some consideration to bringing back some language sections, as, well ... the auto translation services are not always that useful with technical questions, are they? Ahem ... 😉

It would certainly be nice if they had a forum for the scripters also as they used to have.

Right now, we have this forum and the Video Hardware forum. Besides AfterEffects and other apps having their own forum.

As many of the other ACPs, I would dearly love a few more sub-forums! The place to query and/or post about such things within Adobe's system is their UserVoice system. Every post there is read by at least one engineer, and sorted as to where it goes after them. Also, everything posted there is collated and goes way up the chain to the upper managers who decide budgets. They ... and Adobe Corporate ... live by metrics. So it's good to give them some via UserVoice postings and up-voting.
